You guys and Gals have been so helpful already Thanks and H NYear ! I have what might be a naive Question but so what ! Somebody asked me if you Had Black Tar and cooked it up and poured in Morphine and let it sit would some of the Morph become Acytlated :p

No, no way no how. Could give a long explaination, but it would be very similar to other threads. (Remember the Woods/acetic acid thread?) Same idea.

Just for fun though (as an idea) if one had pure diacetylmorphine and morphine in equal amounts and heated for some amount of time (probably a long time) in something that is not water, alcohol or anything that could be acylated, one may eventually wind up with a lot of 6-MAM (and a lot less H and M). Or one may wind up with a lot of decomposed crap. Would require dry everything, nitrogen atmosphere, blah blah blah. Will never happen in a spoon with water though. Don't bother with it.

No!!! don't ruin perfectly good morphine. Atleast you can carry on with life on morphine. I'd honestly prefer a good morphine habit to a heroin habit. Atleast that I could control (?)

No matter how sloppily made there will be no AA left in even the gankiest black tar. It absorbs water and all you'd have would be the acid, assuming there was AA left in to begin with. That stuff is not stable if not sealed air tight. Just water in the air will kill it relatively quickly.
