Favorite muscle relaxant?

I'd just like to see what everyone's favorite muscle relaxant is and why. I have been on robaxin, soma, flexeril, norflex, zanaflex, and several benzos (to be used as relaxants). I'd have to say my favorite is zanaflex in terms of stopping spasms, but the euphoria from flexeril is unmatched imo.

Soma or Valium would be my choice. Valium is mos def superior in ability to directly relax tense muscles. It's far superior to ALL other muscle relaxers out there, without a doubt! The runner up would be Soma. As far as a buzz goes, same choices.

If I was given the choice I'd take any benzo over the other muscle relaxers. Valium would work.

SWIM keeps Soma around only because it has a synergistic effect with oral narcotics, and SWIM's g/f enjoys hydro with Soma and Xanax on the weekends.


Benzos have more overall relaxing effect (in SWIM) than Soma or Flexeril.

Mine would hands down be Soma. Hell, soma is the only muscle relaxant I've ever ahd that gave ANY sort of high!!! I've been on all your common muscle relaxnts too, everything from methacarbamol to relaflex(nambutone) and flexeril(cyclobenzaprine) n Soma(carisoprodol) and even Skelaxin... Everyone one of those I just listed has absolutely no recreational effects, let alone a high of sorts!!! Aside from the Soma of course, those will fuck you up! Though I have heard of ppl using Methacarbamol to potentate opiates, same with the flexeril, but on the own the two are 110% worthless crap... they don't even help muscle spasms or anything!!!


and wow... you like felxeril??? That shit(cyclobenzaprine) is completely worthless recreational, well, it is for every single person I have met :p consider yourself VERY lucky. I have however heard ppl say it can be used to potentate opiates just a tad... You get euphoria from frekain cyclobenzaprine(flexeril) man!?!? Flexaril gives me a warm sleepy mild euphoria, kinda like the codeine buzzes of old. The robaxin is worthless shit though.

I agree with you 100% Ike. Cyclobenzaprine doesn't do shit for me except relax my muscles. There's no recreational potential as far as I'm concerned. However, maybe it does have a different effect on some people because my junky ex-girlfreind liked them and she'd give me K-pins for Flexeril. Whatever???

I find soma to completly obliterate me. Its insane, I have a very strong reaction to them. Instant coma, in a strange good way. Benzos are the most euphoric, but I hear yeah on the cyclobezaprine thing, I used to get crazy good feeling off them, like true euphoria. But then I ended up w/ a couple prescriptions of them and after a month or so of every couple day use that eventually became everyday w/ a couple drinks and some benadryl to top off my dope, and eventually the euphoria dried up. They still help me sleep, but thats it. Also I find mild seratonin fever to be a common side affect of mixing flexaril w/ tramadol.

miltown - i'm not so sure on how often it'd get script'd for muscle relaxing but a certain dealer i used (chronic pain patient) was given it for m.r's. the shit was the shit. one of the most amazing drugs i've come by thus far. it'd boost by M high to stratosphere heights and it was the only drug that could make me well other than other opies...i shot everything, so it was quite the thing to take a handful of miltown and t-4's(60mg codeine) and find myself lifted into soft and warm goodness.

then, one day, it came to an end. she told me "they quit making it...taken off the market" and that was the last i ever heard of it.

anyone who knows anything about it, was it actually "discontinued"? the info would be greatly appreciated. (i search'd and found very little).

My vote specifially for muscle relaxers goes to valium.

Miltown...yeah, seems it's been pretty much replaced by benzos. But I think Miltown is still used, especially for certain types of pain relief (for example, arthritic pain with sleeplessness, the kind elderly people have).

Soma for sure. Flexeril makes me feel annoyed and restless. On the other hand, soma when taken in mass amounts makes me piss myself. Now that's a good drug.

When I was a kid and got a new script from the doctor, I'd never care about seeing warnings like "Do not operate heavy machinery..." or "May cause drowsiness" or "May be habit forming".

I always looked for the warning that said "May cause involuntary urination". Now THAT was a good time.

Great info! I know a few years back they were considering making Soma a CIII becuase of this very fact. It never happened. The Pharmacy were I worked back then locked it up with the schedule drugs. they also did this with Viagra. Too many people stealing them!

It's different for everyone.. I take 5 and feel great. 6 and I get mini-seizures.. still fun, but kinda ruins it. Start with two and work up on consecutive days till you hit the level you like.

I take 2 to 3. I'm 290lbs. with slight benzo/barb tolerance, so you'd expect me to be able to handle more. So you might want to stick with 1 see how you feel and redose in 30 to 45 minutes. Weight, tolerance, any other meds you might be on, and individual response all have to be taken into account. 5 gives me what I call "jelly bones syndrome" that is it feels like all my limbs are made of jelly, really weak and can't stand up or support myself if I lean on something or try to move. Just read the siggy at the bottom, and remember... sometimes lessphine is morphine.
