I have a large batch of these (93/33 80mg Oxycodone HCI) I have taken some and found that they don't seem as strong with the euphoria as the "normal" OC's. Has anyone else tried these yet? Discuss.

I believe the generic oxy's are supposed to be abuse proof in that they gel up when water is added to them like the new MS Contins. Also whatever fillers are added to these supposedly burn like hell when snorted. I've had generic 80mg Oxy's that were green (I think) and fucking huge. I ate a few and had many many drinks before I snorted any, so if they did burn I didn't notice.

Also with generics I've heard that they do not need to have the full amount of the medication that the brand name meds do, just enough of it to be considered a viable replacement i.e. 70mgs instead of 80 or something like that, this may be why they are not as euphoric. I'm not positive on that one so don't hold me to it. Also I know that certain forms of a drug may absorb faster/more efficiently into the bloodstream e.g. hydrocloride, napsylate, sulfate, citrate, etc... If the generic is different than the name brand Oxycodone Hydrochloride this may the reason, but I am not sure about this as well so don't hold me this one either.

It's also possible that the time release mechanism is more efficient in that even if the pill is crushed, it does not destroy the time release completely so your not getting nearly as much oxy as when you crush the brand names...

These are ust some ideas guys, I hope this helped... I don't know about the microwave thing so I can't tell you about that. I'm sure someone here will know why the generics seem different so if you do feel free to chime in. I'm curious about this one myself.

Yah Paesan is right about the generic meds not containing the full amount stated on the pill. Some generic meds can be less. Mallinkrodt(sp?) generics tend to be shitty as hell and have less ingredients in them. Their 15mg Oxy's only have like 13 milligrams or something. By law they don't need to contain the full amount. They have to contain a certain percent though. So i'd say on an 80mg oxy you'd have a substantial amount missing. But i could be wrong. Generics dont need to be full so it could be that. Or if could just be the time release mechanism like Paesan said. Maybe the pills just wont release the goods as fast as you want it to.

All this thinking about time release mechanisms makes me nervous. In the future you won't be able to get anything out of these pills, you will just be able to take them orally. And the injections will all be one that are long acting over a period of days or weeks even. I really dislike the new technologies being put on pills. I have a feeling that pharmaceuticals are getting alot more unfit for abuse purposes. Maybe in 20 years we will be looking back thinking about how wonderful it was to have big oxy 80's that could be crushed and injected or snorted with ease. It will suck balls when Oxy 80's are made of some new space aged material that wont let you extract the ingredient in it.

Just some food for thought. Maybe i'm a moron but........oh yes, I am a moron. duh.

ABOUT THE GENERIC OC 80's. Yes, they do have something in them that causes them to gel up with contact of water, and they also gum up your nose so that you can't feel them as well when you snort them. I havn't figured out the way around it to snort them, however I can help you if you inject. Take off the outside coating first (as always). Crush them up as fine as you can. Put the powder in your spoon. Add just enough water to let it gel up. After the powder is gelled, add more water (about two and a half full syringes full). Get this mixture to boil and let it do so for a good thirty seconds, making sure to move the spoon around a little bit so that most of the water comes in contact with the gelled up pill. Though the pill doesn't actually boil into the water as most oxys do, the oxycodone is still seeping into the water. Put your filter next to the gelled up glop of goop and let it soak in the water. Fill up your syringe as much as you can, without touching the goop, as this may clog your needle. If it only fills a little bit of your syringe, add more water to the spoon and repeat. I usually do about 40 mg of oxycodone in a shot, so what I usually do is put all 80 mg in the spoon to start, do this procedure, get my shot, and then put the spoon away with the remaining water and goop. When I come back to it later, I simply repeat this process with all that's left on the spoon and usually get another nice shot out of it.
