Any one have any idea what the infamouse Black Beauties and Christmas Trees contained? These were before my time but older people have told me stories about them and I was wondering what was in them. The person that told me thinks the christmas trees may have been an illicit pill instead of a real pharm but there not sure. From what I've been told I think there probably some type of amphetamine or similar. Some one mentioned it on another thread and it got me curiouse again.

I haven't the faintest idea exactly whats in em, but black beauties were some kind of speed. swims dad used to eat em like candy during his medical residency, where 36 hour shifts were the norm.

Black beauties are speed pills.Dexedrine if my screwed memory serves.Brown and clears are another well known speed pill that seems to be on the verge of extinction.It's heartbreaking thinking of all the cool pills they don't make anymore.

I got some more info on the christmas trees, they were about a 3/4" tall capsules, the top was green and the bottom was clear. They were filled with little green and white beeds and had a speed feel to them. Maybe this is one of those things were different drug slang got used differently in diferent places. These were the drug of choice in West Virginia during 73 and 74 before another form of speed git the market.

Also what about a pink heart shaped pill? Definatly a downer same time period.

On another note is there any such things as quaaludes anymore? What was the active ingredient? Barbs? Any one have a synth?

Heart shapped pill is valium I'm pretty sure. (if it looks like this anyways, V looks like a heart and it's deffinetly a downer)

quaaludes- active ingredient- methqualanone. Prescribed for insomnia, so I'd imagine they were pretty easy to get- think how easy it is to get a script of ambien or lunesta. Still around in some countries, not US. Imprint= lemmon 714 - but there are some fakers out there now that are diazapam pills stamped lemmon714

I've always loved those strange looking valium but thats not it. It's a solid pressed pill in the shape of a heart, not with a heart shaped hole. Remember these are from the 70's. Just trying to piece together what an old timer was strung out on back in the day. No way to know for sure, but it's still entertaining to speculate.

roche cut pills are cool- a girl I knew in college used to get both the v-cuts and k-cuts (kpinz). When she'd go to a club/party, sometimes she'd string a shitload of them up to make a necklace. I spent about 2 days in bed, unable to move from taking a large bite of her pill necklace- figure about 1" of valium 5's and kpin 1's stacked up. Yuck.

I've always loved those strange looking valium but thats not it. It's a solid pressed pill in the shape of a heart, not with a heart shaped hole. Remember these are from the 70's. Just trying to piece together what an old timer was strung out on back in the day. No way to know for sure, but it's still entertaining to speculate.

My boss tried to convince me the other day that benny's were benzo's ... I let him win. He suffers from anxiety and asked me what they prescribe and I said benzodiazpines. He said, oh yeah .. those are called benny's in the drug world. Best not to bring up drug knowlege in the workplace, I just said "wow dude, you're like a serrious druggie aren't you" For some reason he stopped talking about it after that. But I'd never ever head anyone call a benzo a benny, so you've solved the mystery for me.

There were Benzedrine inhalers very popular in the 70's but the pink hearts were 10mg Benzphetamine. Same drug.

Diazepam was the top-selling pharmaceutical in the United States from 1969 to 1982. Just thought it fit the bill :)

Hey dv, How dare you display a photo of a 2mg valium. What a waste of time it would be to pop on of those bad-boys. I used to get the 10mg blue ones. $2 a piece and the supply was unlimited. I bought hundres at a time. Then a few years later, I get this hook-up for the 2mg K-pins, white with the K cut out of the middle. And I got those fuckers for $1 a piece!!! Unlimited supply of those too while it lasted. The guy died and that was the end of that one.

Thanks for the info, I didn't even think of Benzedrine. Thats what burroughs called goof balls in "Junky" right? (Great read by the way) Any one else have some ideas?

Tuinal is secobarbital (Seconal) 50mg and amobarbital (Amytal) 50mg. I heard those were the BOMB when you shot them. Somebody told me you could be standing up against a wall and as soon as you shot them, you slowly slid down the wall on your back until you were on your ass.

Good stuff, but no longer prescribed or even made.

BIPHETAMINE was/is a drug matrix of amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. While the 10mg were half black, half white...the 20mg capsules were ALL BLACK...AKA Black beauties.


These are not exactly health food, but are very effective at their mission.:D

I still want to try Nembutol (phenobarbitol), which I believe is still made and prescribed sometimes, but I'd be hard pressed to get it legally. I love barbs because they're so much more euphoric than benzos, but I can see myself getting into real trouble with those. I'd have to have a very very limited supply,otherwise I could see myself blacking out and OD'ing.
