I didnt and I suffered horribly for about 11 hours with 4 of those hours being particularly UNPLEASANT. I take bup for a week each month lately to lower my codeine/poppy seed tolerance. I think that it is an amazing tool for some people. My use of the substance is limited. My first taste of the material was IV ampules without naltrexone. those were a few good days, using that stuff.

This isn't true. If you take Buprenex/Subutex,you don't get the lowered tolerance for opiates. And this is as youknow because Subutex doesn't contains naltrexone. With Subutex you onlyhave to wait 4 hours after you been using opiates like morphine, heroinand codeine, to exclude withdrawal. This is as because of the morphinesshort half-life.

With Subuxone which contains naltrexone,I don't have the exact numbers for how long you should wait after takingopiates to exclude withdrawal, but according to the Swedish journal of pharmaceutical from the government regulated Association of thePharmaceutical Industry you should wait 7-10 days to be absolutelycertain to don't get sick.

I've also been using naltrexone to lower my tolerance and its amazing how good it works!

We have a pharm called "Revia" in Sweden that contains only naltrexone, used for treating alcoholism in the first case, but also for opiateabusers. One thing we don't have is Suboxone. I pray to God that theSocialdepartment (they are the one deciding over the legal pharmcs inSweden) won't exchange Subutex for Subuxone. I feel sorry for youAmericans, and other foreigners who only have that crap pharm foropiates abusecare. Of course its good for opiatesbuse, that its madefor but hey, why can't you get a high on your pharm at the same timealso :D

I hope I did'nt misunderstood the topic, you must have patient formy bad english. I've learned it in school between 1992 and 2001, thatsthe shortest time you are required to learn english in Sweden. But I'mdoing my best to learn more and more everyday, I'm working in anAmerican company so I must fully understand, speak and write itperfectly in January 2006, when I'm being transferred to anotherdivision.

Hello Visslaren, you wrotre down that you should wait 7-10 (after using opiates) days before dosing on Suboxone. My question is that if you DO wait 7-10 days, why would you want to use Suboxone, all the opiates will be out of your system anyways and the withdrawel symptoms should be non-existant by that time. Please let me know if I misunderstood.

1 more thing I wanted to add that I forgot is that you stated that Suboxone has naltrexone in it. I believe its naloxone that is the other ingredient in Suboxone, not Naltrexone. Please somebody chime in and let me know if I am wrong on this one.......thanks!!!

You are right, it's Naloxone, and NOT Naltrexone. Naltrexone (I believe) would be absorpable GI, so we wouldn't want any of that rat poison in our dope, no?

Ok guys Im sorry I thougt is was naloxone in Suboxone. As I wrote we only have Subutex in Sweden.

But I wrote:

So what I meant was that if you take a drug that contains Naltrexone you should wait 7-10 days before using any opiate.

Im so sorry, I should have read about Suboxone before I posted. I thought that Naloxone and Naltrexone was the same substance. I know what naltrexone is, but was is naloxone?

No apologies needed whatsoever, and to be completely honest with you - I have no idea what the hell naloxone is. I have heard that it is combined with suboxone so you cant shoot it. Unlike subutex (which you can shoot) I have also heard that it isnt even absorbed in the body. I really would like to know exactly what the naloxone is doing in there anyone.......anyone..........bueller..........buel ler........ - God that never gets old:)

Naloxone is an opiate-blocker; a narcotic antagonist - Naltrexone is the same thing. I used to take 'Revia' the brand-name for Naltrexone (which is 'i think' just Naloxone which can be absorbed gastro) which pure and simple just blocked any opiates i might decide to ingest. I remember shooting H and feeling nothing - nada. They now put Naloxone into Suboxone (Why Subutex gets the oxone) to keep you from injecting the Suboxone, although it sounds like it doesn't really do all that much in the way of blocking.

I've personally injected Buprenorphine of both Subutex, Buprenex, and Temgesic. They're all great, but pale in comparison to the effects of good old fashioned Heroin. I've never tried injecting Suboxone, the high I got from straight bup was never worth the risk.

Alright here it goes, naloxone (aka Narcan) is a very short acting opiate antagonist. Thats what your going to be given if you overdose by the paramedics. Naltrexone is a long acting (think 12 or more hours) opiate antagonist so it usually only has to be taken once per day.

FYI folks....I'm on my second day of subuxone treatment after a year of steady oral use.
The day before I had my first dose I ingested 120 mg of hydro at approx. 4pm. I had a
2mg subuxone tab. sublingually at 11:00 the next morning and was great. no wd's at all.
I find when I take higher quantities of the sub. that i feel more sober or straight for the first
hour or two and then start to get euphoric towards the end. All in all....I'm happy to be 2 days
clean.

LOVE SUBUXONE !!!!

I did my last cup
of PST yesterday at 5 pm.
My legs are aching now,
I had watery eyes,yawning
at around 8 am but it passed
and I went back to sleep.
I'm trying to wait til midnight
to snort some sub.
I'm not really hurting yet
but Im impatient.
No H lately, only pods and seed tea-
which is bad for bupe.
