I've been working on the forum color scheme for the last couple of days and I'm beginning to think I'm becoming colorblind.

Any feedback on the color scheme would be a great help (plus it's my monitor I'm looking at - your monitor might look quite a bit different.)

I've basically been using PhotoshopCS to sample colors from the poppy pod above (in the logo.)

The blue is extremely calming, and looks good from where I'm sitting (in front of an ASUS laptop with a 13-inch screen...)

Well done, bi11i.

This colour scheme was a bit of a shock after the old one, but you're right. Bigger, brighter, better. Now I've just got to start posting more. :o

thanks, that took me a couple of days to come up with. MUCH better than the older forum, although a shame our member base is so small. Once i get the content ironed out, and can get with jacky on a front-end, i'll be advertising again, which should bump things up quite a bit.

a shame we had to lose the old content.....

one of the coolest things i found was clear.gif. it goes over the top of the logo and acts as an image file - then i can link it to the home page. click it and see...

looks great, I like the image at the top too

I've looked at quite a few chat modules for the board, the problem is that most of the good ones cost a litte $$, and the second problem is that once I hack the board, I have to unhack it in order to apply security fixes, updates, etc. The other issue is that we can't regulate a chat room (as much as I hate to say that) which puts us in a riskier place than we already are.

Once the forum has a consistent 10-15 members on at once, all the time, I'll look into paying for the option of adding a java or flash-based chat program. maybe a month or three?

I have been telling my trusted friends about this site....I'm sure membership will pick up some more soon!! :D

Then maybe u could get some donations n stuff going to help out?

Oh P.S. I love the colors the blue is soothing !!!

If you go with a chat program I would much prefer java over flash, java apps tend to be a bit smaller so us folk that live in rural areas can use it with dial up. Second javas compatible with all newer OS, with the exception of winXP, but this is very easily remedied with a simple visit to Suns website.
