another one that's really, really good is www.pharmer.org - they have an emphasis on pharmies with recreational potential- opiates, benzos, amphetamines, and sedative/hipnotics. There's a lot of posts there from parents who found shit in their kid's rooms and stuff, but theres a guy there, kirby, who can pretty much id any pill (including crazy shit like 1960's malaria meds) from memory. He's a fuckin genius. Huuuge library of imprint pics, too. I've never managed to stump them.

I dont tell my friends where I go to get my pill id info. They call me whenever they have a pill that needs ID, and I'll look it up from my treo, tell 'em what it is. That way, I know whenever new good pills come around, and I prevent my friends from getting ripped off at the same time. Try it!

Years ago, before I had a computer, I would just call 1-900-90DRUGS and there was this goofy ass guy who would ID any pills (It was expensive) and nobody knew how I did it. That guy had some resources, and he knew I was a pill-poppin' junkie too. He would laugh at my comments all the time. He's obsolete now that we have these websites. But still, most of my friends have difficulty even if they go on-line and try themselves.

HAHA, yeah, my friends would always call me 'wtf is this pill, i've never had on OC/morph like this before!'. Then I gave them all the pharmer website and well, they were VERY happy and satisfied with that site!!!

I suggest everyone give their friends that site if they pop pills!!!!

Also, back when I was HS and needed pill ID info I'd call the local poison control and say I found these pills in my sons room and need to know what hes taking and what they're for. Why does no one do that if they can't find info online?

I worked in a hospital for a few years, and the chief pharmacist became my best friend. She didn't get high, but she was extremely cool. She had a sign on the hospital pharmacy wall that said "THIS IS A WORK-FREE DRUG PLACE"

Anyway the pharmacy subscribed to the Micromedex cds, a collection of a couple compact discs that could identify any pill. Great stuff, the kind of thing any poison control center should have. The discs were updated 3 times a year (every 4 months).

Micromedex powers a lot of the "Pill ID" sites on the web, but the McCoy software is THE SHIT to have, if you are into lots of pills. The software is called Identidex.

Just thought I'd toss that useless trivia into the conversation. Hope everyone is having a good Damienmass.

I got the 900 number from Poison Control. I tried them first, they said they don't do that but gave me the number to the goofy-phone pharmacist.

I used to tell the guy shit like "Yeah, I'm going to pop 12 of these and see what happens" and he's just laugh at me.

Poison Control used to ID pills just upon request, no need to cook up a story at all; saddly this is not the case now. I suppose you could use a method similiar to the one above and probably get an ID, but remember they most likely have your # and address just from recieving the phone call so if you say someone took X amount of pills and are wondering if they will be alright might now be such a good idea... maybe from a payphone. Don't want to risk them sending out emergency units. I wouldn't abuse it myself, not when there are so many other resources, but I suppose if you were in a jam...

On second thought why not just call the local pharmacy and ask them to ID the pill for you over the phone? Most of them still do and there are so many pharmacies out there that if one turns you down just hit the next one. Poison Control stopped ID'ing pills to the public because people were taking advantage of it, and possibly interferring with their everyday ruitine... I would just leave them out of it from now on.

That is the way I did it the first time I got MS Contin years ago. I used the Yellow Pages to find a list of pharmacies, then started calling them and describing the pill. I used different variations of "My sister is taking these and she had a few drinks, should she be worried?"

It wasn't for pill ID purposes, it was because I had "intercepted" a bottle of 100 60mg pills and all I knew about them were they were some kind of serious pain pill and the bottle said "MS Contin" which meant nothing to me. The pharmacists kept telling me they didn't know what MS Contin was, it took several calls before one of them said "Oh that stands for Morphine Sulfate". (ever had a spontaneous orgasm based on something someone told you over the phone?)
