...The Man With The Golden Arm?

I've been wanting to watch that film for years and finally bought it for $1 this week. Very interesting movie...looks like a pulp fiction novel from the early 50's, but there's a heart-wrenching quality to it. A true period piece, and certainly a classic, as well.

Someone mentioned this movie a few days ago around here and swim (god this swim shit is getting way out of hand I know) actually found a torrent of the movie and jumped on, hoping to download it, but no one has ever bumped that torrent so it sits a 0% =(

I've heard about it forever, but never was able to find it. Figured I'd look online eventually. Then Target, of all places, had a bunch of dvd's for $1 & there it was. Apparently, the film was taken from a novel by the same name.

Yep, Frankie S was the star of the movie. I didn't even know he'd been in films. :o He was terrific in this one.
