My P.O. just called me and told me I'm going to jail on monday. I tested posative on a U,A. for opiates even though I didnt take or shoot anything. What a bummer. It moms B-day on monday too so its a dubba bummer. The only thing I've taken is Lunesta and it sucked so I stopped taking it and got put on amitriptylin. I am beyond irate now and ontop of it I gotta go to this fucking group in an hour! I wish I could say I got loaded. Man this is sooo bad right now. I offered to get a copy of my medical records but that cant prove I didnt use dope so I'm just out in left field.

tell me about it! I'm gunna call my lawyer about it. I knew she was going to be pissed that my lawyer called her out on the doctor business. The two main things that R buggin me are (1)that its my moms birthday on monday,(2) I actally didnt take anything but cant prove it. If I had the loot I'd just go dissapear in N.Y.C. and work for my friend but thats unrealistic. I just found out that the anti-biotics can cause you to test posative on a u.a. so thats something in my corner.

One thing that surprised me is tonic water can cause a false positive for opiates, you don't drink a lot of tonic water, do you?

Damn Red, what a terrible time to have to face this bullshit...I agree w/the posts on getting lawyer, see if there isn't some kind of compassionate deal, you know, Mom, something, a good lawyer can find a way, especially being Christmas and all. I had a great P.O. a long time ago, in Louisiana. Man went out of his way to help me...but a bad one is hell on earth. Some guys wd just try to max out on time, if it's parole, or put in request for different p.o. if it's probation, but that is tough too. I know my ex kept getting "violated" and ended up doing what they call "life on the installment plan," since in Louisiana, at the time, they could keep reinstating original charge and you would start over, anytime u violated parole. Probation was a little different.


Anyway, I'm so sorry, it's not right, I'm just getting to know u, don't like havin one of my bros get locked up...

If the former protest it with a lawyer and ask for the real test if you know you're clean. I assume its the strip since they usually nail you on the spot for the dirty, at least in my "district".

I wonder if you could have had a false positive due to other normal/legal drugs you were taking? I have heard of that happening before and that could make all the difference. Red-When and for how long did you take the amitriptylin??? Were you taking it up until the day of your UA test??

I ask because amitriptylin CAN test as a false-positive for opiates for up to three days after the last dose; even longer if it was taken consistently for a longer duration. It has a similar structure to opiates, even though is clearly not one. Many anti-depressants do this.

Temp. suspended sentence for now. Man that bitch came after me in court and I just was'nt havin it. The judge told me I gotta get a letter from my GP sayin that the anti-biotics can cause false posatives, and that he knows why I'm getting the letter. Oh yeah, and my medical records. So I got lit on my way back from court and had a great day w/mom for her b-day. I'm so fed up at this point now, I just decided to take my fukitol pill and have a good time. I wanna split, and I know I could for the rest of my life and be happy, but I'd rather deal with it. For now at least.
