Free Heroin?
Here is a interesting article on heroin programs starting up in several Canadian cities. The test program's are to see if heroin users would be more likely to stay on a government run program if they get heroin instead of methadone.

In the Middle East.
The current situation in the middle east seems to be bringing two different sides to the story, one, the government's of Afghanistan and others seem to say they are slowly eradicating the drug industry in their countries, and two, the exact opposite, they are not, and also have know real clue to how much opium is being processed in heroin.

The Federal Swine Have Done it Again.
Though this subjest is not opiate related it does set us back in our war for drugs.Opiate's for pain will continue to be scrutinized even harder then medical marijuana, and if we can't even semi legalize pot (legal under state law , but not under federal law in certain states) then we are far from bringing opiates into the picture for pain.

I think there is only one in canada, Main and Hasting (pain and wasting) in Vancouver, there might be one in toronto but I've never heard of it. Plus its really not much of anything, it's only a trial experiment to see if it works ithink its called "North American Opiate Medication Initiative??*%$" or something along those lines, I doubt there's more than 50 in the program.

Thanks for the input. Do you know anymore about the program?
