Has anyone seen this stuff on Ebay? Do a search for Peruvian Torch and you'll see some bags or Peruvian Torch from Peru. This stuff is the real deal, but you can get it elsewhere for half the price of what they are selling it for. You get 350 grams in this sack, no spines or cores. You can also get Peruvian Torch extract(not on Ebay) if you don't like having to ingest 15-18 grams of powder that will gel up on contact with liquid including saliva, if you were going to ingest it, and why anyone would want to do that is beyond me! Summertime, cacti, and a motorcycle road trip to hit the strip clubs with your homeys! :eyebrow: Now that's a great fantasy to make up. Of course my old lady may not approve, :whip2_1: that's why I'll just take her with me, maybe I'll make her get up and do a pole dance for the boys!:magicshit
I jest, of course. But back to the topic, theoretically you could get a bunch of gel caps, fill them up and don't forget the crystallized ginger to munch on for the nausea. Of course I wouldn't want to encourage such behavior, that would be illegal, so do not do as I have said. On a serious note, I have heard and this is a topic on another opiate site, that San Pedro will eliminate opiate withdrawals. I do not have any personal experience or knowledge to back up this claim, if anyone else knows anything about it, please let me know your experience. Of course the Pedro will only work for a day, then you are on your own, but it may help to get through that tough day 2 or 3. If you could keep it down that is.

as shitty as the cactus can sometimes make a person feel I wouldnt want to chance using the stuff for withdrawl. I have had a few instances where the cactus just made me sick, for hours, and all I could do was look forward to trying to keep a dose of opiates down....I have also heard that the cactus is good for withdrawl, the first time I ever did san pedro tea was from the cupboard of a heroin addict, the persons kid made us a batch of tea , and later told us that her mom was a heroin addict and used the stuff for withdrawls...this was in 1984. I could see how in small doses the tea might help with withdrawl symptoms, but I can also see how the wrong dosage could send a person out looking for more dope to counteract the effect of the cactus.................

It would probably depend on how severe your w/d's were. If you already were having trouble keeping anything at all down, then of course, cacti would be out of the question. Mescaline is very chemically close to MDMA, and not at all chemically close to the amines, LSD and Psilocin. Peyote is a harder ride than Pedro, due to other alkaloids present. Pedro has a reputation of being very earthy and mellow, causing feelings of love and warmth, or whatever you want to call it. It gives me a stomach ache for a few hours as well, but that can be dealt with by eating ginger or drinking ginger tea, or drinking aloe vera juice. I guess you could also use any OTC medications you would prefer as well or in lieu of. Also, I would recommend avoiding the core, the white pithy part contains little alkaloids and is very bitter and most likely the cause of a lot of the discomfort. It would definitely be a dose dependent thing, too much and it could screw you. Dealing with cacti, you never really know the potency, unless you have sampled that specific plant before. Hell, screw kicking, lets get high on morphine, then let's dose up the cactus! May as well have some fun right? If I were going to plan a day of cactus use, it would most likely be either when I was completely clean or high, one or the other so as to enjoy it to the fullest. I read on another forum a good way of preparing Pedro, which I have yet to try. You simply remove the spines and the core, then blend the snot out of it, no pun intended, place it in the fridge for a few hours. It will separate into two layers, a top layer of solids and foam, and a bottom layer of liquid, discard the solids and strain, drink the green liquid. This will contain most of the alkaloids and none of the bad stuff and will be way easier to down than any other method. I have read, but I am not sold on the idea that Mescaline itself is what causes the stomach discomfort. If that is indeed the case, then I would suggest drinking it very slowly, like over the period of an hour or so, so as not to shock the stomach. Maybe I will try it and report back to you guys if it helps with w/d's.
