Subpoenas

I have been thinking about SWIM and I would like to know if the board's owners have even been subpoenaed to provide email addresses that have lead to prosecution of any of members ?

I know that this is in the public domain and that we are just exchanging thoughts but I tend to worry a bit.

Am I being excessively paranoid?

Use a throwaway email, registry cleaner, etc.

Bottom line, though, if John Law wants your ass for anything you've transmitted via a computer- you've had it.

I am not an owner but I'm a mod, and from the discussions I've had, there haven't been any subpoenas given to the owner.

I also know that if asked, they will be compelled to comply.

I also know that most of us here have either made up identities or we are storytellers with a knack for embellishment... right? Right?

Oh and by the way, I've told stories in first person that actually happened to some who isn't me.

Finally, please limit your replies to this thread because each one goes to the phounder's email box, and often he gets perturbed by 24 mails from a thread... right?

Or do you just get one for each thread regardless of posts?
