I am finally, completely OFF Cymbalta for the past 3 days now. So far, so good. But I've noticed something really, really weird.
Apparently, that drug caused cravings I didn't even realize were there. I'm feeling oddly satisfied by just about everything, but the kicker is that my psychological craving for opes just went down 10-fold.
Back when I had access, I'd take about 10 - 15 Norco per week. The supply went dry about 7 months ago, and while I didn't have any real physical withdrawal to speak of, I definitely still had a mental fixation on the euphoria and what not.
Fast forward to today...even though I'd still greatly enjoy a vike or two for fun, I'm not feeling that agitated yearning for them, if you know what I mean.
Nothing else has changed except for getting off that particular psych med. It doesn't make sense scientifically, and I can't find anything in the literature about it, but here it is.
Am I just weird or has anyone else ever felt anti-depressants actually increased their opiate cravings??
