Pharmaceutical names in Spanish?

I've been planning on going down to Mexico for the holidays, and since I suffer from chronic pain, and may need to hit a clinic or two down there, I was wondering if anybody knew the spanish words for any of the stronger opiates that might be available in Mexico. I speak Spanish, I know how to get all the codeine crap...just wondered if anybody knew any mexican equivalent names for anything containing morphine, hydromorphone or oxycodone? I need the actual pill names, I mean, I can figure out how to say morfina or hidrocodeina and such, but wondered if anybody had any actual knowledge they would mind sharing with a very grateful boy. I know the myths, that have been around forever, about scoring d's and such right across the border. All my experience was that that was not correct, but that the further you got away from the border, the more they believed it. Anyway, not asking for anything illegal or crazy, I know the rules, just need a good translator so I can see the doc down there prepared. PM me if you feel uncomfortable posting this publicly. you are right, duck- they do have different names, well at least some of them. I remember that xanax was called tafil. If you walked into the pharmacia and asked for xanax, they knew what you wanted, but would tell you they didnt have it. If you asked for Tafil, they would hook ya right up. Kind of a little test to see if you were a dumbass or not. I don't think they'll be too worried about you, I'm sure you look like you can take care of yourself. Although, if you pull up on your vespa...

Sounds good. Most of my experience in this area, I'll admit, has been pretty discouraging. Any kind of serious meds, like I need, always seemed, just out of reach. I mean I'd hear things, move around, a lot of time in Matamoros, also down in San Miguel de Allende, and Tampico. As you can tell I was east side boy. All my Mexican experience on the West Coast, baja really, has been either just been looking for waves, and that's all I was doing in Rosarito, or doing the young G.I. thing when I was on leave from the Army, a million years ago, and best I can remember, it was stumble across the border, go to the Manhattan Bar, get drunk, get a girl, stumble back this way. So I don't really know shit.

When I was on east side, Tampico and all that, a friend of mine had gotten a big settlement, and he bought him a brand new harley, and I had my raggedy old '56 panhead chopper, and he wanted a guided tour. We hung out in Galveston, and found smack and then a dilaudid connection, bought a ton, and then rode town to the border, finishing the C's of course, before we got there.

Next three months in Tampico, mostly, almost made it to Veracruz, but long story, we got in wreck, got old pickup driver to give us ride back to Tampico, holed up with some girls we knew there. But all three months, best I could find, for our serious chronic beat up pain, was those crappy neopercodans, which are basically darvocet, like I posted in another thread.

but we were mostly into juicing it and dancing in the clubs and hanging out with the girls, but I always kept my junky eyes open, you know, but never ran across anything. So even though I fancy myself a bigtime "south of the border" Ace...the truth is, when it came to pursuit of opiates, and I never had any real success. But I'm older and a little more presentable, so I was hoping maybe the pain clinics, either in TJ, or if I get bored, I'll wander down to Rosarito, and see what I find, but I'm not real hopeful.

And years later, me and my girl would flee Louisiana, and 12hrs later be down in Brownsville, and we'd head to Elizabeth St., and there was a raggedy motel right next to only topless bar there, and we'd hang out there for weeks. Teresa'd dance and I'd sit outside at the picnic table next door and drink beer and talk shit. Every once in a while we'd run across coke or smack, but it was always this side, nothing different than I'd find in Houston. We'd cross the border just about every day, but just get the codeine and a case of Tecate and some bacardi, maybe eat a taco. I had a real good thing with a druggist, but either nothing was happening, or--just as likely--I didn't have the right line of bullshit, beats me. Always plenty of valium, codeine, crap like that, but nothing ever that got me excited...

see, smack, like in bordertowns and such, is a whole other issue, different locales, different people you're dealing with, all that. My hope is--since I have the need, and all--is to find some legal pharmaceuticals, 'cuz if I go towards the other, it doesn't always end so happily. but we'll see.

Off the top of my head for Mexico:

America / Mexico

Vicodin = Hydrocotin
MSIR amps = MST-Continus (common), or Roxanol (in Argentina, maybe Mexico?)
Fentanyl = Fentanest (common), or Durogesic
Oxycotin = Oxycotin (and is stamped EX instead of OC) BUUUUUTTTT. In 01 there was a robbery of 30,000 20mg pills from Mexico City and whoever makes OC stopped exporting them to Mexico. I don't know if they've started again yet or not, doubtfull though.

Benzo's
Valium = Diatex
Rivotril = Conlazepam / Klonopin
Temazepam = Temazepam

Also i think it says on there somewhere that metadona is spanish for morphine.

Thanks, I remembered that. But like I said, like I had told you. I always heard the myths, and there were benzos and other assorted downers, and codeine and propoxyphene, but I never ran across any of what I consider good opiates...just good opiate stories, and I won't bullshit about it. But it's been a while, so things change, I'll go see...

There's no substitute for going and finding out for yourself anyway, as you found out. I was all over the place down where you were at, and some of the opiates that I'm looking for, weren't even around back then, so maybe I'll get lucky. I'll check out your names, and the names dv13113 sent. Then I'll go hang out a bit, ask around. I mostly want to know what to angle for, and what to avoid, if the doc starts offering me stuff, same as I do here. Looks like I'll probably go down thursday, unless my plans change. My doc gave me enough subs to get thru xmas so I'm safe...glad ur doing o.k. young man :-)

Thanks for the info bro, some of what I figured, a couple of new ones, and I know to still avoid the perks and other bullshit, and that they'll put high-power names on low-power drugs which I noticed last time I was down there. My thing is just to get something going in a pain clinic, see what I come up with to start. And generics are usually at least understandable. No different than the deal here, gotta pay yer dues, and I think I'm just wanting to do the rookie thing, and find some easy way to what I want. Won't happen.

I knew there *was* a period, right when they were peaking here, when I heard lots of people were coming up w/oxycontin, but I never had the experience myself. Sometimes it's just plain old luck, I know that. I mean I've found old harleys and I never believe *those* stories when bikers would tell'em either...but I found this old flathead '74 for around 180 bucks, best I can remember. And a shop w/a couple bikes and *tons* of parts, made money off some Texas bike club. But I tried everything I could think of, and every story I ever heard, and never got shit other than darvocet and codeine type crap.

And again, I know there's always the border skag scene, and that's a whole other area, different deal altogether, and I guess I was hoping to avoid that, since I don't know boys down here, but we see. Subs ain't really cutting it no more, I gotta get right.

Metadona is spanish for Methadone. Morfina is spanish for Morphine.



Sadly that link won't do you any good for what you're looking for Duck. I posted it originally to opibli$$ in his thread just showing that even benzo's are controlled substances that require scripts. As are sub/bup, and pretty much everything that you can get here in the states with the exception of Codeine (which I'm really not sure why you can't get it here. It's useless. DXM is far more dangerous than Codeine). If you've read it it states that all opies are controlled as well basicly. Well, it specificly says any derivitive of Morphine but I can tell you from personal experience that that translates into everything but codeien.

I'll get you a heads up on the best way to work the farmacia scene (how I did it in multiple cities and countries). I always had only one item in mind that I was going to the doc to score, morphine. I never bothered trying for anything else, I stuck to what works. I got it in a glass bottle with a spoon / dropper thing. I'll PM ya the details, not something tourist types could pull off, but I'm sure you'll have no problem.



Oh, and I skrewed the list as per Oxycotin. I forgot the a at the end, it's Oxycotina but I'm sure you probably figured that anywho. I'm still doubtfull that it's availible in Mexico however, that fallout was huge and I stayed clear of OC because asking for it even if it were availible will get you a recomendation to try some T3's.
