WASHINGTON - On May 23, Able Laboratories, a big manufacturer of generic drugs, suddenly ordered one of the largest drug recalls in history — all of its products, probably affecting millions of people.

Google Headlines (http://news.google.com/news?q=drug+recall&hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-16,GGLD:en&sa=N&tab=nn&oi=newsr)
Full Drug List (http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2005/NEW01182.html)

Full story from MSN (http://msnbc.msn.com/ID/8050556/).

So where do you suppose all those recalled drugs are headed? (I wonder if they'll take half-price for the whole lot?)

Able Laboratories suddenly became UNABLE? Hmmm, the questions this throws up are legion... and actually, I came across something (although I'm damned if I recall what!) mentioning it on the day or day after the recall was announced.

The fact that this was only picked up by the MSM (MainStreamMedia) as a headline story, days afterward, must really be raising some red flags with media observers... well, it does with me, anyway. I went through journalism school with it drilled into me that if you missed a big story, your arse was ready to get fired - and this sounds like a big story to me.
