I had a hit where I was moving the needle and got some blood in but I didn't think I was in the vein so I pulled out and tried again. Everything in there was red but I was still able to see the registering the next tim it was odd.

Not sure what you are asking here. When you are injecting and register blood in the syringe, called a flash by some, that usually means you are in a vein. Moving the needle and getting a flash of blood is common as well.
If you tried again and got a good flash of blood when pulling back then your in a vein and should have no problem injecting.
