View Full Version : What the hell is happening to me?

Ok I got a 4 mg Dilaudid, a Concerta, and 5 0.25 mg Xanax last night. I chewed like a half of the Concerta, shot half of the Dilaudid, then took 2 Xanax. Well I realized a little bit later it was too much Concerta so I took the other 3 Xanax. The weird thing is my feet started going numb like 10 minutes before I took the remaining Xanax and 30 minutes after I shot up. I thought my feet were cold so I got in the shower and it didn't help. My hands would also get a little numb but not as much or as long as my feet and I shoot in the arm. The today I chewed like a 4th of Concerta and a couple of hours later I shot the rest of the Dilaudid. Well 10-20 minutes later I started getting bad chill that were almost like uncontrollable shakes, hot flashes and numbness in my hands. Also I have a horrible headache but that's kinda normal at this point. I read up and every symptom except the numbess was listed in the side effects of cotton fever. Does anyone know what the hell is happening to me?

whats the Concerta. maybe you shouldnt throw that into the mix...it doesnt seem like its going well with you anymore.
concerta is not an opiate i take it
It's ebola man.Sorry it sounds like a bad hit.The symptoms vary from hit to hit and person to person.
If there are any residual effects get medical advice, rather than asking a bunch of degenerates on line.
Take care.

And what could have been the reason this happened old needles, infections, or what? I'm gonna have killer fucking muscle spasms tomorrow.
If it's a dirty hit, you've got some bacteria in the hit somehow.could be any of the equipmentor even something on your skin .Still look on the bright side, where I come from they say the only cure for a bad hit,is another hit.Any excuse huh.
Seriousy,it happens to us all man.All you can do is be as careful as possible.Only use works once, clean the injection site etc.

I thought ebola was deadly? There is no way I'm sticking a needle in my arm again until it's over. Maybe some Xanax for the muscle shit.
Ohh man,I'm really sorry I was joking about the ebola, which is very deadly. The good news is,I'm pretty sure you don't have ebola, unless you're writing this from the Congo or somewhere good forsaken like that in Africa.Sorry again,I guess the humour got lost in translation.

Actually I am in the Conga on vacation and took a needle they were using on an ape. J/k. But yea it's kinda hard to breath and my mom said my lips were blue I really don't want to sit at the fucking hospital.
I really don't want to sit at the fucking hospital.
Sounds like a sound reason ....... wait, did you say your lips are blue and you can't breath?

I said it feels like it's hard to breath and yes my lips have a bluish tint I looked in the mirror. I know there is no reason it is an od because that much Dilaudid is basically nothing to me just aenough to get a little buzz and not be sick.

is this a concoction you've shot before? you may have an allergy or something like that and, if so, then it will probably get worse with each subsequent use. in any case, it doesn't seem like you should do that again (yeah, i'm pretty insightful). i dunno, i don't think i would shoot shit that made me sick.
cotton fever sucks ass, one of the worst feelings in my life, but it's usually gone within a few hours.

it's cotton fever or a slight infection. It will go away soon. Give it a few hours

I suspect its a bad mix. I've heard of this before from people who can shoot one thing, then another, but together they create a flu-like illness...
I'd also encourage you to rethink your shooting process, maybe get some new gear, and hopefully avoid that batch of pharms... its not too far-fetched to think maybe there's some kind of impurities of funk or germs or something that has infected that batch (mishandling, improper storage, or just plain dirty hands etc)...
Take a break from them, or at least the new one... whichever you've been fine with, stick to it and chuck the other one.

HOM is right- you don't HAVE to bang dilaudids- I sniff them. If it pains you too much to toss the rest of the batch, at least don't bang any more of this mix, or any of the ingredients individually. Maybe crush&swallow, brown, or snort instead. Dont want to get worse.

Yeah, if someone had Ebola they would be dead in less than 72 hours. It is an incredibly contagious disease with no known cure. Basically your insides are turned into liquid. An incredibly horrible way to die.

I'm alright now. I really don't know what the fuck happened but yea it could be I haven't bought new needles in a while. And I wanted to ask you guys first because I'd rather see if people who didn't judge me would know the answer. Plus the last thing I want is for my Klonopin prescription to be taken away because my doc knows I'm still using.

I agree with Nick (I say that way too often!!), it definitely sounds like what us folk in the UK call 'a bad hit', hellish whilst its happening but not life threatening (although it usually feels that way!!). And yep the only cure I know for a bad hit is another hit which should take the nasty feelings away, but will probably not give you the high you were initially hoping for.(certainly not in my experience) Unfortunately bad hits are part and parcel of being an IV user, no matter how clean you try to be in your injecting practices, sooner or later a bit of bacteria is going to get through and you're going to experience the symptoms you describe. I feel for you, its nearly as bad as withdrawing, some would say worse. I hope you feel better now and that it was nothing more serious than a bad hit.

"And what could have been the reason this happened old needles, infections, or what?"
well you would know, we would not. was your needle new and clean? was everything else clean? was your shot well filtered after cooling? did you swab with alcohol before shooting?
if you said yes to all these then you can assume it was an allergic reaction. if you said no to any, then infections are to be expected, hopefully you don't die from a heart infection

In the whole of my IVing career (approx ten years) I've probably had five maybe six bad hits and I can honestly say that there was never any obvious reason for it to happen, it just did. I'm always careful to do the things you mention above.

I don't think that's what it is; I have shot D and Methylphenidate together in the same shot many times and I've never had any of the effects the OP is describing.

Ebola is fucking gnarly. I was really interested in it for a while...if I ever decided to try biological warfare/terrorism, that's the disease I'd use. Not only is it highly contagious and dangerous, it's painful and unpleasant, and all-in-all a terrible way to go. The only problem is that because death comes so quickly, it could easily be contained through quarantine. There's been several massive epidemics of it in Africa, killing huge numbers of people. Apparently they had a really hard time controlling the spread of infection because of the shitty conditions in what hosptials there were, and cultural practices...the people effected by one of the epidemics repeatedly touch and hug the corpse during a funeral, thus infecting themselves with the disease. Another reason it's highly contagious is because of all the fluids spewing from the body: in the later stages, you bleed from pretty much every orifice, along with vomiting and diarrhea. So there's tons of infected biologicals spewing forth, getting on anyone in the area of the patient, and once you get just one drop of said fluid in you (in an eye, mouth, open wound, etc), you're fucked. Many times, people don't know what they've got. In the beginning, the symptoms mirror that of a flu, and the majority of the time, people don't realize the severity of the situation until it's too late (I believe that there is some treatment for ebola if you catch it in the first day or so). The book The Red Zone was witten by a doctor that dealt with epidemics, including several of ebola. It's a really good book, especially if you're interested in diseases.
hard to breath
It's "hard to breathe" not "breath". You take a breath, but it is hard to breathe.
Sorry to nag, but this is one of the misspellings that really bugs the hell out of me.

Sounds to me like a reaction to the Concerta.
Are you prescribed Concerta from the doctor?
I know that we all take things we might not be prescribed, but sometimes unless you need the drug, you can have a bad reaction.
I would avoid the Concerta.
