I had posted off topic, something mentioning dahmer in another thread so I wanted to repost this and get some reactions from folks about what they remember about that time period when dahmer was arrested and how weird it is the number of ppl who seem to be developing(emerging?) in our culture that are similar to this...mass murderers and cannibals, etc..

Jeffrey Dahmer's uncle is a pathologist who taught several of my advanced airway classes...aka
intubating fresh corpses, practicing central IV lines on them, etc...the guy perfected his own patented embalming/preserving fluid before he left high school....when the Jeffrey thing hit the fan is how he ended up in the southwest area...then two years ago just disappeared...left his university position, etc..

many EMS (emergency medical services aka paramedics, FFs, etc.) people were "card-carrying" :deal2: Dahmer members (aka 'whole body' donators) around here ...meaning, when you died, you donated your body to Doctor (Grant) Dahmer(along with the University Dept he headed) for "study"....

those classes were actually unbelievably cool, but the guy was getting pretty weird there by the last time I
saw him...creeping me big time by mentioning how he **joking..yeah..hah hah**had the urge to embalm girls esp. whenever they'd wear low neckline blouses cause that's where you access for sucking out the blood and pumping the other stuff in..just under the collar bone:

The really weird thing about young Jeff is not the cannabalism it's the shrine he was building(featuring victim bodyparts) as an act of spirit worship.After he got busted his prison docs asked what he intended to ask the spirits for.To which Jeff replied real estate tips.What a sense of humour and what very silly docs.

the most fearful part to me is how NORMAL he was in appearance, even attractive...
like the kind of physical type I dated in my early 20s...

although he apparently just went out looking for guys to prey on...

I don't know if you've heard of Dennis Nillson,He's a gay British seriel killer(he got bust blocking the drains with human remains) He's very similar to our Jeff.Nillsen claimed a major part of his motive was company.He was lonely and wanted his victims to stay.I think part of Dahmer worked on similar lines.
P.S. Dahmer's pops taught how to dismember animals in the garage then fucked off leaving him alone in the family home.His first murder happened shortly after.

Remember when they were just pulling barrel after barrel of hazmat out of his house? It was on every news station, when they raided his apartment. Fuckin weird moment, seriously. It's like the one thing where you don't have to be good or excell at anything but you can still be famous. I really think that has a lot to do with some of these people- they buy into the american fame-worship culture so much that they want to be a part of it. Kill 15 hookers and 60 minutes will let you say whatever the fuck you want on your very own segment of their show.

Very true TM there are guys out there killing for fame.checkout Patrick Knowles,but I don't think fame motivated Dahmer.He was just a sick fuck.
P.S.My degree's in politics,economics and philosophy.Which was so boring I used to bunk off and go to psych lectures.I particularly enjoyed abnormal psych,which covered a lot of this weirdness.

I've read books on Dahmer I've always thought it was sad for some odd reason. I think a lot of everything was hate for himself and who he was projected onto others. It was really weird hearing about him putting odd concoctions into the victim's brains and actually getting them to move for a couple of seconds. He also used his grandma's Halcion and Ativan to drug his victims.

I always find these guys sad monsters.In fact the terminal phase of seriel killing tends to be suicide.They end up surronded by victims no nearer happiness.
Then again I've never lost a loved one to one of these guys.I expect that could change my perceptions.
