Tramadol & Codeine

Pretty sure there are no adverse reactions but i wanted toi make sure, my friend is about to eat 60-90 mg of cod and 150-200 tramadol. I've heard ceiling effect on codeine is 60mg but dont know if its true, 60-90mg alone really didnt do much for my friend other than feeling a little disoriented...though he did take them 30mg a time about half hour apart each since hed never had them before.

The ceiling effect for codeine starts at about 450mg. Eat any more than that and you're wasting it. Not sure about the reaction with tramadol, but i've taken tramadol with oxy before and it was one of the best highs of my life so, it should be ok.

Codeine loses efficacy in the body after about 350/400 mgs. A general rule of thumb regarding potency is that the "milligramage" of the codeine is equal to a tenth of that for pure morphine. (example 60 mgs codeine = 6 mg morphine from a qualitative point of view, obviously) This works really well because remember, codeine must be metabolized to morphine in your body before it can be put to use ;-) I am not too sure about Tramadol, as i do not have first hand experience w/ it.

Well my friend ate 150mg trams and 60mg IR codeine...then ten minutes later decided to pop another 30mg codeine...that occasionaly and wonderful gas/blaoting feeling from the tramadol just hit...


ANOTHER QUESTION - i know someone who obtained some codeine and wants to use JUST codeine to get high, he has no tolerance but has experience with opies in the past, he chases his pills with a shot or two but again has no tolerance, so with a shot or two of alcohol in you and no tolerance how much codeine do you think he needs to catch a buzz?

Use the morphine trick i stated above (The total mg's of codeine is equal in strength to one tenth of that in morph) esp. if your friend has exp. w/ opes, then that can be a good guide.

Im not really sure what a good dose of Morphine is for a newby though, i was thinking like 30mg? but that would be 300mg codeine too bad for him he doesnt have that much....I heard 240 is a max daily dose anyhow?

O yeah plus hes chasing it with alcohol which should enhance the buzz a little id imagine...

for a newbie, a good starting morph dose would indeed be around 20 or 30mg. that would make for a nice high. Morphine has a poor bioavailability when eaten, that's the only problem with it, it works much better parenterally. So if you convert that to codeine, let's stay on the safe side and maybe say 100-150mgs codeine SHOULD be safe. Don't take that to the bank; it's only a guide, because everyone's body reacts uniquely to different substances, but realistically 100mgs of codeine is nowhere near enough to do serious damage. So a good suggestion would be 100-150 mgs of codeine phosphate/sulfate; oh yeah, since alcohol is added in the mix, be extra cautious bc liquor/beer does not mix well with acetaminophen (Tylenol). Be smart and try not to have more than 3 drinks total, if at all.

Thanks for the advice, there is no tylenol in the pill he has (i think) i never mix with alcohol, looks like hes gona and took 60mg with him and left his other 60 at home....guess hes screwed, lol

I've done Ultram and Codeine in the same mix before, not to mention Oxy and/or Fentnayl was also in this mix,.. so yeah, it's safe man... Unless you're one those ppl who get seizers from Ultram(Tramadol) :p Though I've only heard of that highish doses of Tram.

All in all, it's a safe mix on the avg person.

As far as doses go on codeine, well, I wouldn't do ANY LESS than 150mg... Though I think alot of ppl recomend like 250-300mg. I never personaly got shit from Codeine, well not codeine alone, so I don't really know how much to do, but I kno0w ppl who say anything under 1590mg is gonna be worthless, and chances are the average person will need moreso around 300mg. So... No idea on doses but thats what ppl I know say.

Codeine tabs with no acetaminophen(APAP)? Never seen those. The only codeine I know of are the Tylenol 3 and 4 and those Somas that have a little Codeine in them... but if the tabs have a 3 or 4 on one side then it's a Tylenol 3/4 with 325mg of APAP.

and 2 drinks will be perfectly fine unless you're gonna be doing over 2g of APAP.

The tabs were codeisan, I dont believe they have tylenol in them...
