I was curious to know if anybody had ever tried cooking with Kratom? I'm on the verge of mixing up 100 grams of Red Thai into brownie mix, but wanted to check the particulars with somebody who might have tried it already.

Try this:
2 tbsp ground and pasteurized kratom powder, 2 tsp sifted pounded kava root powder, 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder, 1.5 tbsp honey, two sachets sucralose sweetener (eqv. 3 tsp sugar), 3 tbsp milk or substitute, 1 tbsp vodka or whiskey. Add quick oats to firm as needed. Eat on an empty stomache upon awakening.
I take no responsibility.
(I think I've just found a new motto for my life)

I think if you mixed Kratom into brownie mix, the only thing you'd come out with is really crappy brownies. Make that really crappy expensive brownies.

A note about the mix I suggested: it is not a brownie recipe, but a kind of choco-ball (i.e: no cooking, just kneading the resultant dough into ball-shaped pastries). I made up the ratios since I couldn't recall what I originally used, but it is possible to create a remarkably passable snack with these ingredients (it might actually be better to take the kava separately, but don't forgo it). Eating this on an empty stomache begat the only time I was too inebriated to walk straight (problematic when one is on a full bus, laundry bags in each hand) and too euphoric to bother arguing with my parents, whom I had been visiting. All legal ingredients.
