Why dont you try to ask your doctor to give you NAltrexone ( after you have been 7 days opiate free) it is a antagonist and non addictive, it is the best drug for cravings available. Bup. is another opiate that can cause dependency as well.

I took naltrexone a few years ago for months....I used dope while on naltrexone and lived to talk about it, some people have died using it with other opiates.Naltrexone is a definite alternative, but people with chronic or even minor pain might not able to deal with the side-effects. it killed my sex drive much like dope, made cigarettes more potent, killed my appetite, and left me unable to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time....once I found out that opioids could cause euphoria while using naltrexone I decided a 150$ might better spent.......on heroin. I wish I would have saved my prescription, I would have had enough microgram material for potentiation for years...

how is naltrexone abusable? I always thought of it as nasty. DO NOT SHOOT/DNR in big read letters. It should just make you sick. Perhaps I just read your post wrong.

I was on naltrexone because I thought it might help stave off cravings a bit once I had gotten clean of everything except nicotine and naltrexone....naltrexone in of its self isnt anything to abuse, though it is said that in the microgram range naltrexone can actually make some opiates stronger, make the effect on breathing somewhat safer when combined this way with opiates. a good article on this subject is posted in the entheogen review , discussed by Jonathan Ott, and K. trout. K.Trouts article is listed in the internet..............I used naltrexone as a recovery aid...when I finally relapsed I had to use 2 peices of dope, instead of what I would do normally when relapsing, like a quarter peice..I didnt have insulin syringes, instead a huge blood sample syringe or something..it was like sticking a nail in my vein. the visual effect was overpowering, the dope was not, I didnt fell it too much, but wnough to itch all nighty and still be warm the next morning. Once I realized that I could use and feel the dope on nalrexone it sorta didnt make too much sense to take it any further. Even though I relapsed with others present it was an incredibly stupid and desperate thing to do. a few months later a freind of mine who was maintaining on naltrexone heard that I used while on it, and figuring his weight a good deal more than mine, bought two peices of dope and Od'd with some freinds present. they left him in the corner...SO doing heroin while on naltrexone can obviously be dangerous..........................I knew a guy who was on naltrexone at the same time as me, and he hadnt slept a full nights sleep since quitting dope a few months ago. He took some LSD in the hopes that he would feel different at least. He didnt notice much but a body high, no visuals and little mental effect, stimulation. That night he finally got a good nights sleep. I wonder if naltrexone was blocking some effects of the LSD that may have been influenced by the opioid receptors?.........................Naltrexone is written about in a few articles I noticed on opioids.com, that look at some of the high death rates that are starting to be noticed in a certian location. suicides and other violent or overdose deaths. I wonder if similiar numbers might be noticed in our respective areas.
