I don't know if this is the right forum for asking about this, but is there anything to the idea that Vit c can affect how you feel when taking morphine?

I have heard that it will kill the rush. However, I have experienced that it HELPS the rush, but maybe it was co-incidence.

Also, for withdrawals [and I will post again in that section] , I find that Vit C helps reduce the pains.

Maybe the body uses morphine differently when Vit C is there. Thats why I posted this in the chemistry section.
Put it wherever you think is best webmaster.

The only evidence I have ever heard of concerning Vitamin C and recreational drugs is that taking Vitamin C with benzos (large doses of Vit C) can help with the anterograde amnesia experienced during the effects of the drug. Meaning you can remember better than you would if you didn't take Vitamin C. You know how you can black out when taking benzos...

But I have never heard anything about Vitamin C and morphine, or any opiate for that matter. I wouldn't think it would have any effect but then again I have been wrong before. I just don't know, but I also haven't heard anything about an interaction.

Interesting question...maybe I'll do a little bit of research into the subject...

Yes it can affect tollerance to Morphine (reduce development of tollerance), when taken in HUGE doses. It also shortens the analgesia effect as the dose of Vit C goes up. But not at any sort of normal / sane doses.
