You'd think we'd have moved enough - this will be our fourth. This will also be our last move and our apologies for the downtime. Before finding our final location, we were typically using 70-90% of the resources allowed on the Opiophile.org account. We maxed out our bandwidth with our last hosting provider in a little over two weeks.
Opiophile.org now resides on a virtual private server. Our account now has 500gb's of bandwidth, plus 25gb's of space to utilize. We're currently at half a gigabyte so plenty of room to grow. Our cost in using this service is $70 a month (from $7 a month) paid in quarterly increments. We'd like to thank all of those who've donated in the past as your funding has gone a long way in securing our future.
Backups are also being made of the forum on a daily and weekly basis, not only by us, but by our hosting provider at www.midphase.com (http://www.midphase.com). Our plan is found here (http://midphase.com/html_files/plandetails_vps_gold.php) for that wish to know details...
Our experience with midPhase has so far been fantastic. We highly recommend (http://midphase.com/html_files/whyus_guarantees.php) for those hosting larger websites or multiple domains.
(We'd also like to add that Bluehost (http://www.blusehost.com) is completely fucked. We do not recommend their services in any capacity. Our phone records show over 16 hours of so-called 'tech support' and possibly as much as 80 hours in working through data corruption issues, mail issues, domain problems, and other miscellaneous complications. Never has Bluehost offered any type of compensation for any related problem, nor have they accepted any responsibility for their actions. They do not meet, nor can they possibly meet, the benefits to the hosting packages they offer. Bluehost is fucked.)
