novel MS contin user

i have never tried morphine before.My experience is limited to codiene max approx 200-250 mg orally.I have secured some MS contin 60 mg tablets.I need advice on the best way to prepare and to take these pills and what is propable safe dose.Thak you.

I've never used MS Contin recreationally either. I do know that dose of tagament (cimetidine) is suppose to increase the effects of MSC. Also, I believe that MSC is time released. Crushing the pill and swallowing it would give an instant effect rather than a time released effect.

i usually crush them, add 1.5-3mls water per tab(do not try to use less, you need the full 3mls to breakdown one 100mg ms contin), mix it until milky (no white lumps at all) place in a large filter, wait 1-5minutes, the longer the better as the morphine will absorb into the filter, Grab a 2-5ml syringe place the tip on your filter and draw it back,(you should get 2.5mls for every 3mls of water) using a wheel filter(pill filter) slowly squirt the mix through the filter into a clean spoon,)you will notice the mix is now clear instead of milky) add a clean filter, draw up, enjoy! If wheel filters are unavailable be sure to filter the mix at least twice,(i get mine at the needle exchange)

I wouldnt shoot it if youve never even done the drug before! Lets not kill this guy! Just eat it. And if thats not enough suck off the coating, crush it up, snort\eat what ever you perfer

If the MS Contin 60mg you,ve got are the same as the aussie version, you cant just crush ad water filter and shoot, coz they have some sort of thickening agent in them.This will only work with the 100mg's. I suggest you go back to your doc and say they werent strong enough and get the 100mg. Otherwise extraction of morpine is simple, I wouldn't bother making diacetylmorph(H) coz pure morph is .25 the strength of H and you lose about 60% anyway! Good luck.

P.S. Morphine is about 10 times codeine so adjust your dosage accordingly if used to codeine. ie 250mg codeine(orally) is equiv to 25mg morphine(IV).

thank you for all the replies.I never had the intention to shoot it, so I have crushed and drank/eaten it after i dissolved it in water.
I started with 60mg and have gone up to 120 mg,but i was not happy with effect,,i had to even add a cuople of 50mg tramal tabs in an attempt at making it more interesting.Codiene is way more fun more.
Iam thinking of going up to 180mg with my next try but iam hesistant,Any way thanks to all and i'll keep yo posted.

Is this from personal experience or just theoretical from presumed effect of cimitidine on liver metabolism because i came across the followingwhile looking into the subject that seems to contradict that claim.

1. Summary: Morphine is metabolized primarily via glucuronidation pathways which would not be expected to be altered by cimetidine inhibition of the cytochrome systems. Morphine metabolism might be expected to be inhibited by a possible reduction in hepatic blood flow caused by cimetidine because morphine has a high hepatic extraction ratio (Sorkin & Darvey, 1983). However, a crossover study showed no effect on morphine pharmacokinetics by cimetidine administration, suggesting that cimetidine had no significant effect on hepatic blood flow (Mojaverian et al, 1982). In addition, another study using ventilatory response showed only a small, clinically insignificant effect on morphine's respiratory effects by concurrent cimetidine administration (Lam & Clement, 1984).

To reenforce what was said above taking morphine orally is a complete waste unless you use something to keep the first pass from destroying the majority of it. You are much better off to snort/shoot or use some other method of administration. Also to anyone thinking of shooting ms-contin be very careful because it has a special ingredient that will cause it to gel up. And this could be very dangerous if injected. Unless you have a micron filter I would not attempt to inject it. Also when snorting it there is a tendency to gel up in your nose. Really in my experience they are a worthless pill. But then again I don't really care for morphine sulfate, I think heroin is much better.
