Is it a bad idea to lift weights or exercise while under the inflence of Oxys, Dillies or Heroin? I am an avid lifter and usually use a couple hours after I have worked out. curious if there are any negative side effects if I were to try to lift while high. DOC right now is H and I have the tendancy to want to do something like weight traing while high. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that it could be dangerous to be nodding while lifting heavy weights. I personally like to be 100% focused on my workout while I'm lifting. The safety issue would be my #1 concern. Also the lowered blood pressure might have an affect on your blood flow to your muscles. Do you use creatine, or protein, before, during and after your routine? The opiates might have an affect on the absorption of these things. Where's Zoop? I'd like to hear his opinion on this.

Yes I do use creatine, which I have heard is kinda rough on your kidneys.
I have found my focus to be enhanced while high, the knod is actually better after i get done working out. I was interested if it will effect my kidneys, or if it put the mucles in a relaxed state that may cause harm when when contracted.
P.S. You can never have too much hairspray.

It says on my oxycontin paper that comes with my pills from the pharmacist to drink lots of water and exercise among other things. It doesnt say that on all my scripts. So i would say yeah its cool. Although i agree that it is not a good idea to be nodding out when your lifting weights. So dont be to wrecked when your lifting. Otherwise i think its fine. If your like me Oxy and other opies dont really affect me as much until nightime when i go of the deep end. peace
oh yeah i dont know about how it will interact with other supplements and stuff though...might have to look into that.

It could work if you are doing curls or just doing some aerobic shit. It probably depends on what you are doing. I mean H I was skating in this abandoned school and had to stop to vomit too many times but if it is OC it gives me energy and I could probably run to the next town to get more but as savage said drink plenty of fluids. mostly water to keep the flow

When I was still on the clinic I took creatine and for a short time androstenedione until I heard in caused baldness. Back then (30 pounds heavier, mostly lean muscle) I could do a 2.5-3 hour workout with more workout time than stand up time and get a nice "runner's high" kinda thing. Smokes cigarettes on the way in and out (and didn't shower with dudes, did it later). I don't know but I felt like the creatine and the done made so I could do sets of 12 or 15 reps depending on muscle group and restart less than thirty seconds later without getting tired and achy the whole time. But I wasn't fully jammed up either though, just the done.

This type of disscusion comes about quite offten on boards dedicated to dxm harm reduction and use. The main concern would likely be blood pressure. I would be concerned about having an increased tollerance for pain in the gym. Some might just say "oh what ever, just max it out and push it till ya can't push anymore ya pussy". This isn't always healthy when you can't feel much of any pain. When I worked at a gym in NC, I watched a guys bicept muscle detatch and litteraly ball up near his shoulder while he was doing his max bench...Some may benefit from use before hitting the gym, but the pain that you are blocking with your use is there for a reason.

It is really hard to say! I know many who feel that opiates gives them the concentration or motivation to get things done.
I would recommend drinking plenty of fluids, watch your heart rate, and as with anything...If you start to experience anything unusual, stop your work out.
And of course, anything like chest pain, that radiates to the jaw or back, with nausea and a cold sweat is never a good sign. Call 911 immediately!
Even a sudden shortness of breath could be related to something and should not be ignored.

Dexter makes a great point....pain is there for a reason, it lets you know when you have had too much. If you are deadening that, then you might just push it too far

I used to travel a lot for work and so was always staying in hotels. These were pretty nice hotels that usually had two things- a free happy hour monday through thursday and a little gym with some cardio and weight machines. The happy hour usually consisted of free buffet style food with a kegerator of bud or coors light and bottomless wine caraffes (they just kept refilling them!!). Being stuck in a hotel with nothing to do, I would always get my money's worth with the free alcohol and then head back to the room when I was nice and drunk. Then I would get bored and head to the gym. After months of this I was bigger than I had ever been, or have been since. The only thing that I could not get completely toned was my belly- it was strong I am sure but always had a little layer of pudge from the gratuitous amounts of beer and wine that I was consuming. I never hurt myself, but then again I was never trying to max out on free weights. It was always a weight machine and once you get to the point of being able to lift the whole stack, it is kind of hard to push your self too hard. I know this isn't the absolute same as with opiates, but alcohol in the anesthetic quantities that I was consuming will definitely numb you up a bit. I would say that as long as you are somewhat sensible about it you would probably be fine- hell, I am sure you are better off getting right and working out than getting right and sitting on the couch eating doritos and chocolate ice cream. But then again, I used to do everything while loaded on something. . .
