Popped my Kratom Cherry Last Night

Very late Saturday night, anyway. Received a 30ml bottle from entitled "Liquid Kratom Extract with Yerba Mate" and began dosing. I'm not sure what to think; I'm all sore from both jogging and volunteer work i did on saturday... i wish i brought some of their leftovers home... it's pleasant and helped me finish recording and mixing this song that i think is pretty dreadful right now, i'm not a great singer.

stayed up all night saturday working on it. i don't know; i guess it's about 80% as good as opiates, but seemingly lacking in a certain euphoria, regardless of how long it lasts anyway. i'm also afraid of developing a "hepatic face", as they say chronic kratom users do.

will receive some pods soon for the first time in a long time. any suggestions on consuming the liquid extract, as i managed not to swill the whole thing? and i guess just boiling the leaves is better.

My kratom experience was bogus. I spent a good 2 hours trying to cook a giant bag of leaves and boil the water down into a concentrated tea. I ended up not drinking the stuff because it tasted so awful, and I poured the leaves down my kitchen sink causing a massive clog. It cost me $145 to get the pipes cleaned out.

I would rather be in bed sweating and shaking than have to deal with kratom again. :)

dont blame you for not wanting to drink the resulting brew, for that reason alone I powderize my kratom, and mix it with water right before I drink it so the alkaloids and bitters dont saturate the water.

I also found that the alkaloid in kratom are stubborn to extract, if you boil once, strain, you may only get 1/3 or so of the alkaloids out. I was still getting major effects from kratom that had already been boiled twice. using a 1/3 lemon juice/lime juice to 2/3 water will give you a solution that can help strip the alkaloids from the leaf material.

true that kratom doesnt have completely the same effects as opium, but when it is used in conjunction with small amounts of opiates the results can be stunning. it is also nice to have an opioid that cannot be tested for, certian opiate habituated people could pass urine testes without having to kick the habit totally.

I have used up to 50 grams of kratom a day for months at a time, and never noticed any yellowing of the face, but I did notice that kratom alone has a lesser effect on inhibiting sexual desire.

like every herb, people are effected differently.

kratoms unusual effects have probably kept it from total prohibition, as the drug companys a long time ago deemed kratoms alkaloids too side effect prone to consider for standardized drug production.

I have used the material for opiate detox a few times, but mainly for cutting standard opiate dosing. works quite nicely.

I never really got anything from kratom... the first time i did it i got a feeling like i ate a few vicodins, then every other time after that, now matter how much i did, it would just feel a shitty darvon-like buzz.

Me too :) I can't believe I thought dumping 30 grams of kratom down the drain was a good idea. I would turn the disposal on for 5 minute spurts hoping to grind it up. Silly screams!
