Heroin in New Zealand

I'll be spending a few months in New Zealand soon and I would like to know what the heroin situation is there.
Anyone from NZ here?

I tried to find some information online and the results are not very optimistic. Some government report says that heroin is extremely rare and expensive there....
But then, there might be a big difference between a government report and reality....

So, does anyone know about the availability of dope in NZ? I guess, Auckland would be the main place to go - or which other cities? How does the local scene work? What about the price?

And I came across the term "homebake", some local, homemade opiate used in place of heroin - has anyone had it? What can I expect from it? And same questions, how to get it, how expensive, etc...?

Homebake is junk made from refined codeine pills.Never had to try it,but I guess it must work.
I don't recal anyone from the land of the long white cloud using opiophile,but New Zealand will be the end of the supply line and has a small population so dope will be expensive,but I bet you can find it if you look hard enough.Hell dope is everywhere these days.

I've lived there most of my life and been around the drug scene for over 10 years and H is one drug that's never crossed my path. Homebake (which I've never tried) is made locally (wherever there's junkies I'm assuming) out of codeine tablets so I guess a knowledgable baker with access to the right chemicals could get a pretty decent product. Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch would be the only places you'd be likely to have any lluck scoring. New Zealand has very tough customs but if mdma can get through I'm sure H can too. Because street drugs are relatively hard to get here we have to be a bit more creative, ie make the most out of our pods & seeds. Doctors are pretty stingy on prescribing pharmaciuticals too and I've heard of some pretty bad cronic pain sufferers still on codeine.

I hope I haven't puit you off, it's a great place really.

No worries! Yeah it's a beautiful place allright. Wellington is an amazing city, surrounded in ocean, harbour, forest & hills. I could imagine moving away to climb further up the opiate ladder though.

Yeah it is sad but what we do have is psychadelics! I haven't bought bad acid here for like 3 years, like seriously I only take 1/2's these days because the last time I consumed a whole square I was tripping so hard my brain said "Fuck this I'm shutting down" and I coma'd out and lost control of my bladder:p. Oh and magic mushrooms! So many magic mushrooms! And if we're really hard up we can go to the garden centre and buy a san pedro cactus (trichocereus pachanoi - sp). It takes a bit of preparation and you have to consume this vile goop which makes pod tea taste like... er... something really nice, but tripping on that stuff makes me real glad to live in NZ! AND this is a great place for growing outdoor weed, which I much prefer these days to hydro.

Sure Seedy everywhere has some dope of note and I must admit tripping in all that scenery sounds cool.
I've heard a lot about san pedro cactus.I believe you feel a great afinitey with nature,whilst tripping on it. Which also sounds cool.Psychedelics, is there a god?

I'd definately recomend san ped. Alot of effort but worth it. It's a really long laid back trip without the confusion of others and really suits long bush walks and talking to/hugging trees and the like:D

if we have droughts here(Melbourne) and even Sydney where everything comes through in our region,,, so sorry NZ is like the last place the asians want to set up business... not worth it for them.

but then again in all the shithole parts in OZ like Tasmania and Darwin they have more of a pill market and its easier to get morph pills and oxies., if you can get Oxycontin 80's at reasonable prices then that would be even better then the heroin !!

also, maybe you can grow poppies there, and then make the REAL homebake. you can find the recipe on some russian and polish sites as there the pioneers in that , like they invented vodka.... even though most now switched to brown herin.


ANYWAY, why go to NZ , as you're into the opiate.... you should be heading the other way i say belgium, spain, England ....... 20 eur for a gram in antwerp. 10 pounds for a wrap in england, 40 for gram.

I am also surprised by that post, I don't think liking H automatically makes me into someone who has no other priorities....it seems to me that there are many people here on Opiophile, who do lots of other things than take opiates.

I am going to NZ for personal reasons more important than getting high on anything, and as said above, I am quite OK with the plan to be clean there, to try out that local ganja and mushrooms and do other things..... Already preparing for that :)

But why not ask?
If there will be an opportunity to try the homebake, I'll go for it :)

Everybody has their own set of priorities, I think. Dope has a fairly high place for me, but it's a tool....it's actually helped me get clear about what I really want and need to do in life.....even if those are things that require not doing dope for some time.....

yeah I am not a halfbrain i know people have other shit to do apart from getting stoned.

but even though i can see how some people can stay cool and self-control. when i started on that shit heroin two years ago, the first year i went straight through on it , i even went to a shithole on the border of germany/NL where i cant speak both there languages and stayed with family there of which no one uses and managed to go and score that shit from that village , I went to england later to visit a friend and there again I was able to hook up with local junkies even though i didnt plan to [my plan was to go over there to stop using ..... ] anyway when I came back I came just as the Heroin drought started (you people dont know bout those because you dont get em , or you might think its bullshit )

anyway thanks to the drought i finally could say 'fuck heroin' .... except i changed from whacking herin up my arm to whacking tablets up my arm (oxycontin 80's).



so my point is now i can say that heroin is off my priorities list, because for me oxycontin shits all over herrin .
