junk poetry

[Powdered Love]

so, antigonemuse kind of inadvertantly inspired me to maybe start posting some of my poetry here... some of it is junk related, and others just deal with the angsts of the periods of time in my life in which i wrote the poetry. so i'll post a poem now and if i get some decent feedback and feel like people want more, i'll post a new one every couple of days....

so, here is the first one..



Chipping block


Tell me I'm a failure one more time
and i just might
start to believe

Mold me into that image
you've always wanted
me to be

Words from your mouth cause more pain
than you'll ever realize
yet I doubt you'll ever see.
Chipping off the old block,
That reflection in the mirror
is not me.

I'm tired of masking bitter pain
with bitter tea.
Let God bring down the rain
'cause I've already drown at sea.
