Can methadone be synthesized or broken down into other opiates etc.?

I'm just wondering if any of the morechemically inclined than me (which would be just about anyone here) -or actually even someone outside of here, has ever broken methadonedown into anything else, or drawn anything else from it that would be interesting or worthwhile, and if so, what, and how? I'm looking forany articles about this, or even experiences with it, I'm very curious if the tablet or the liquid might be able to transform into somethingjust different enough for the experience to be different. Or even a more dramatic chemical transformation ... the kinds of things that I seebeing discussed fairly frequently with the other opiates and theirderivatives in some of the forums in here.
There seem to be so many chemists that have either done their ownintersting experiments or that have knowledge of things that have beenor could be done by others, I am just very curious about this, buthaven't had much luck in my research. Any links or experiences/experiments? I am very curious about this, but don't worry- I would NOT try any of it at home! I like having a house with a roof on top, and I know my limits, a chemist I am not, though I am interested in the accomplishments of others.

I don't know if I would want to. I just wondered what was possible.
Do you think methadone gives you the ultimate high possible? What do you do when it does nothing for you at a very high dose? Life can become boring when there is nothing that can get you high at all anymore, you know?
But - I never said I wanted to I just really am curious about possibilities.

By the way, what are alpha- d-acetylmethadol and beta- d-acetylmethadol? Are they ever used on their own in medicine, or hedonism?

they are isomers of methadone and LAAM (alpha- l-acetylmethadol) and in rats trained to discriminate between heroin and water alpha-d and beta-d-acetylmethadol were more potent than LAAM or methadone and other isomers at producing heroin-like effects.

Yes methadone can be synthesised,how, I will find out coz I like it too esp iv, better rush than H, and longer lasting.A friend I met in UK on hols got 7 methadone amps a week prescibed as he was on massive amounts orally.He once gave me half an amp and I was stoned for almosy 36hrs, great stuff.

I think you misunderstood the question. of course you can synthesize methadone, that's how it's made. if you go to archive.org and go to the rhodium site you can find the file on how to synthesize it. the question was are there stronger drugs related to methadone and there are: LAAM, alpha-d-acetylmethadol, and beta-d-acetylmethadol

Sorry I thought it was a stupid q the way I read it coz methadone was hitlers answer to the poms burning his poppy feilds.They give it to druggies coz it is the cheapest opiate.Wouldve thought growing it wouldve been cheapest but?? I am sure stronger shit could be made.Also propoxyphene is similar to 'done.Maybe modification of this mifght be the go.I'm still trying to get chems to make M from C, then H.Me 'done ust keeps me out of jail!
