Meth(amphetamine) in MD

I read a really interesting article about meth in MD. For some reason they don't know, we don't have the meth problem everywhere else does right now. Because of that, no one is making much of it around here, so what most people would pay $10 for, it would cost $60 here. I'm not into stimulants at all, but just thought it was kind of strange. We also used to have the laxest pseudo/ephed laws, but I guess that's not true anymore. The "officials" have been waiting and waiting for the "epidemic" to hit and and it just has never caught on here. That's my random fact for the day! Off to work!

It seems like everybody has a methlab in the trunk of their car where I am. The majority of the fires that firefighters respond to here are the result of labs. I got into it for a little while several years back, but decided I liked a more mellow much buzz better, with the exception of psychedelics. Anyways, if you see a car with Missouri plates, just assume it has a meth lab in the trunk and they are prlly smoking the most god awful shit they try to pass off as marijuana. I've said it before, Missouri is indian for shit drugs. Unless you're into meth.

They've said meth has been around chicago for years. And it's mainly in the gay clubs, and the articles I've read about it, keep mentioning homosexuals, and accountants, seem to favor the drugs.

I personally don't know of anyone who does it, but, as vax said, I'm just waiting to see what happens.

This is a little bit off topic but there is apparantly a bit of a meth epidemic in New Zealand at the moment which was pretty much orchestrated by the leaders of the two biggest gangs over here (unfortunately gangs have a monopoly on the drug trade in NZ). I hear there was an agreement to stop selling the old skool speed, methamphetamine sulphate I think (which I quite enjoyed at times), and just sell crystal meth. They even agreed on a name to market it as; "p". So now the only speed you can get here (unless you know someone with adhd or narcolepsy) is this fucking "pee" shit, which is apparently easier to get than weed for most kids, as most New Zealand pot smokers will have to but from gangs at some point. Pretty fucked up! :mad:

I see it all the time, and I'm only 45 minutes from B-more. I have only done it once, but that was enough for me- yuck! In Virginia, it's funny because they are all scared of the drugs that start in the western end of the state, in Appaliachia- OC's and now meth. Even though 90% of the population is in the east of the state (and probably 95% of the hard drugs). They don't sweat coke at all, even though it's fuckin HUGE here- you can't go 10 minutes in a local bar without someone offering or asking for blow. But I had a friend get 17 months for 17 OC 80's. You can get probation for an 8ball (coke) no problem. Have an 1/8th of meth, and your locked up tight. Maybe that has something to do with the average income of the average user- as most of the meth users I know are unemployed, and most of the cokeheads have productive jobs, so they can afford a better legal defense. Who knows.

Having young adults in their early 20's it is around, but seems to be only among the "spoiled rich kiddies", not something I ever ran across while rippin and runnin, coke is so much more readily avalable.

seedy you're probably trying to think of amphetamine sulfate. it comes as such because amphetamine hcl is hygroscopic so would pull water from the air and not make nice lines anymore.

I haven't heard of it being around anywhere i have been though. meth is just more economical to make in these parts i guess...

It's all aphetamine sulfate in the UK,but meth does seem to be arriving.It seems to be crossing over from the gay clubber sub culture to the "mainstream" dope culture.Something to look forward to huh.

You know I just realized alot of people I know take adderall (however u spell it) and know people that do maybe thats why theres not a "meth" epidemic...everyone is just taking pharm quality meth

Adderall is just mixed amphetamine salts.. contains 75% dextroamphetamine (d-isomer) + 25% levoamphetamine (l-isomer). Dextroamphetamine is much more potent, euphoric, active, ect. Levoamphetamine is weak and is known to cause many of the unwanted side effects. This is why many prefer pure dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) over Adderall. People say Dexedrine is much more smoother, euphoric, and abusable. Of course this is somewhat subjective, as some people prefer Adderall.

So no, not everyone is taking pharmaceutical methamphetamine. I doubt hardly anyone is. People are much more likely to be taking Adderall, Dexedrine, or Ritalin. The only pharmaceutical methamphetamine out there is Desoxyn.

In my mind:

Levoamphetamine is sort of like the darvocet/codeine of opiates

Dextroamphetamine would be like the hydro/oxycodone of opioids

and Methamphetamine would be like the heroin of opiates


Does that make sense to anyone, and am I right if it does?


That makes me wonder what is going to happen (epidemic wise) if something like the fentanyl of amphetamines comes out... I wonder if everyone will become addicted and if it would ruin so many more lives than meth does now...

no, the levorotary stereo isomer lacks central activity(but is peripherally active) meaning it doesn't get you high but does affect some of the physiological side effects common to stimulants. this is what is contained within vicks nasal inhalers as a decongestant. it works because it consticts blood vessels.

MIssouri/missoura has some gooooooooood china white. in some parts . Where I live thought the only thing for miles and miles is meth. Everyone is a cook or has a lab or is geeked on the shit. I peronally don't like it. I stick with oxys. sorry swim sticks with oxys and hates meth. So if you do see MO plates, chances are 70/30 there is a meth lab in the trunk.
