In reading the author David Foster Wallace's short story the Depressed Person, it was noted that unlike his novel, Infinite Jest, the short story was written in a manner that used long sentences, modified and tangentially annotated, that did not allow the reader, even upon careful rereading, to discern, in any substantial way, who or what the initial sentence actually referred to and in fact, induced a comatose (no opiophile members past or present being referred to) reaction resulting in the crashing of the head to the table as if the reader, reeling from narcotics, had failed to maintain consciousness and, like the Psychology professor at the University of Arizona who achieved her Masters by recalculating someone else's Master's thesis proving the former researcher wrong without ever so much as observing an experiment and who had a monotone voice that caused students heads to actually bang on desktops thus informing everyone that they were in summer session with Mrs. Potato Head PhD, revealed...

Brilliant, Dorje, a stellar example of how to make Rags laugh her ever-lovin' ass off - I really enjoyed that one.

Man, I find myself writing sentences so similiar to this one it's scary, I should say similiar to the one mentioned by dorje, the one about the never ending sentence in which the reader is reading along and then all of a sudden there is the desk rising to meet the forehead and an epiphany of sorts is attained by all through this process, (except of course the desk which is inanimate) which is astounding when meditated upon or is actually applied in one's own narratives because then a metaphorical reaction would be created whereby anyone associated with said essay would benefit greatly by...SMACK!!

Do I need to spell out that I meant the sound one's head makes when making contact with desktop or should I begin a new ramble...?
