Nixx, welcome to the forum. You'll find that the USA's laws are quite a ways tougher than Canada's in regards to over-the-counter medication containing codeine, so the answer is, yes you do need a script in the US for these things.

In the states you need a prescribtion for every thing, it is draconian here and not going to get any better i fear.

it aint do dif here dude I got the impression by the earlier post that we in canada need no script for t3? maybe i took it wrong but we do too, you guys are way ahead of us actualy we cant even get buprenophine here yest for fuck sake, so dont think its any better here, we USUALY dont get too much time for growing weed and there is NO CRIME AT ALL that you cant get paroled for in 25 and we dont have to pay for doctors or operations but other than that pretty much the same.

if codiene is your desire extract it.... IMO there's no need to have apap or caffiene in your shit anyways. what if you have a headache and muscle pain? don't wanna dose up on muscle relaxants that already contain anti-inflammatories and then have to overdose on them to get enuf codeine to ease the pain.

a script for codeine isn't REQUIRED by law for like tylenol 1s or syrup but it's nearly impossible to find a small drugstore that will sell you it. you are required to sign your name.
but for 99% of the US, yes you will need a script. codeine is THE easiest opiate to get from a doctor.
"yes I've had this cough for 3 (or 4) days and I've been using maximum strength robitussin, it hasn't helped me very much at all."
doctor writes script for codeine, and you chug the bottle if it doesn't have tylenol or antihistamines in it. maybe you'll get lucky and get t3s or t4s instead of syrup
also, canada's health service sucks, you guys die of diseases that most american's don't die of because we have a better system. people in the US don't have to wait MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS to get life saving operations. it's not free either, everyone is paying for it out of their checks.
"Sick Canadians spend months and even years on waiting lists for surgery and other procedures. In 1993, the average wait to see a specialist after getting a doctor’s referral was nine weeks. Since then, according to the Fraser Institute of Vancouver, it’s increased to 18 weeks.
The typical patient needing orthopedic surgery has time to get pregnant and deliver a baby before being called. The Supreme Court cited the testimony of one orthopedic surgeon that 95 percent of patients in Canada waited over a year for knee replacements — with many of them in limbo for two years.
In some cases, the delay lasts longer than the person enduring it. Or as the Supreme Court put it: “Patients die as a result of waiting lists for public health care.”
Take breast cancer. In Britain, which is famous for its socialized system, close to half of all victims die of the disease, according to a recent Cato Institute study by John Goodman, head of the National Center for Policy Analysis. In Germany and France, almost one-third do. In Canada, the figure is 28 percent — and here, it’s 25 percent. Our mortality rate for prostate cancer is 67 percent lower than Britain’s and 24 percent lower than Canada’s.
