Detox Herb

Does anybody have any experience with the herb combretum sundaicum? This is an herb that was used by the chinese for detoxing off of opiates. Can anybody back this up or share personal experiences with this herb?

from what i just read when i googled it, looks like it really only contains tannic acid. no other alkaloids or anything else. i wonder what the effect of this tannic acid is.

also, i read they seem to give the person their opiate dose in the tea that is made from the jungle weed. from there i bet they just taper the dose of opium down. im sure its all placebo effect from the jungle weed.

Interesting. I came across the same info. If I were to go after tanins, it would be so much simplier to get them from the white oak tree in my back yard. I'm not convinced of the placebo theory, but that could be true. I've worked with a couple of chinese herbalist in the past who would surprise you. I am mainly just looking for info from somebody who has possibly tried it, and I am interested in their results.
