who, or what, is SWIM? is this an acronym that i'm not aware of? i've been here under 30 days and actually, this is my first experience with a forum-style website. so is this some code-word used all over the internet, or maybe specific to this site? i'm pretty sure i've seen more than one person use it so i don't think it's an actual person's name. could someone help me please? and try not to make me feel too stupid for not knowing. just trying to learn. thanks.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned. It is about the most annoying thing to read posts where every other word is SWIM. I've read a couple recently where the person wasn't even writing about doing something that was wrong and was using it. Too many swims and I hit the back button everytime.

IMO, it's pretty pointless. It's not going to protect anyone from anything. If I say SWIM got some great dope any moron knows who has it. Just something to keep in mind, there is really no reason for it. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. That said, I think it's wise to think about what you're writing and what you put out for everyone to see.

Just my thoughts at the end of a crazy weekend.

i know! i've observed several thrashings on these forums and they can be quite intimidating, to say the least. although, they usually are well-deserved in response to a person's stupidity. luckily for me, i'm a fairly bright person for the most part, and i know that ignorance and stupidity are two very different things. ignorance is when i start a thread asking about who SWIM is because i have yet to meet him, and stupidity is when i start a thread asking for st. louis connects' phone numbers, ensuring everyone that i'm definitely not a cop, etc...

Ah the dxm... actually no, but im not using it every day, about 3 times a week. Its actually helping me a lot. More than i expected to. As my struggles of using, keeping anything like a stash or just having something to use ever few days keeps on going at a steady rate,:( i am starting to use it at work also. The main thing i guess is that it takes my mind off of the dope sickness. Most general body pain and some depression is taken away, also boredom is minimized. Its still not something i like anything like opiates or any narcotics, but its a buzz i guess. Ive learned my lesson on using too much while im at work. Sometime last weekend i took too much, like 480 mgs, and i couldnt work lol! I couldnt think. So now i use a managable amount like 240-300 at a time, sometimes adding when it fades. Im getting used to working on it though. Puts a whole nother aspect on building cabinets!!! Ive been working like 65 and 70 hour weeks for the past month or so, and the w/ds suck, but like i said the dxm helps better than nothing. Yesterday, i experimented in the name of opiophile. I wanted to experience it and report back to you all. I cant spell the word, prophexahidrine or something but its the Benzadrex inhaler cottons that Hammilton made a thread about. The otc stimulant, well i tried it after he posted it, liked it a little bit, tried it a few times, and noticed that it sorta builds up in your system, i had very poor results in using it 2 days in a row. Taking a couple day break is more efficient.

Back to the subject. I mixed dxm and the benzadrex. A standard 250mgs of benzadrez, and 270 mgs of dxm. I had pretty good results. It was my idea of an over the counter extacy roll lol. Nothing like it but, it was the same idea i guess I recommend it to anyone who likes the two chemicals, cept you warm cy uh nide lol, dont think your old age could handle it. Just kidding. It was good though. So guess you cant say ive been staying away from dxm, its helping a bunch. holla at yall later, im going thread surfing. and in chat.

I'm a bit off topic here, I know, but as this has been a long, often funny, mostly pointless thread I might as well ask: What's with DXM & opiates? I get the impression DXM helps with WD's &/or potentiates. Is it a similar chemical to opies? About 10 years ago when the drug was unclassified here (& I didn't touch opiates) people were importing DXM by the shitload. So as not to fuck people up they sold it with a printed "handbook", describing 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th plateaux. I put in some hard hours of experimention & came to the conclusion it was some crazy shit for sure but not something I'd wanna do too often for fun.

What's the deal?

Well, i take it that you kno what dextromethorphan is, so ill spare you of those details. I've only recently experimented with mixing dxm and opies, specifically methadone. Ive had good results as a potentiator. Im not sure what the chemical makeup/diagram of dxm is, probably easy to find though. I think i recall reading that in some way dxm was considered an opiate? Now that i think of it, it was because of the similar chemical makeup between dxm and opiates. But i may be missing by far, and am going to look it up... Personally, id like to try pure dxm. It comes in a powdered form i think. For some reason i think it would be better than cold medicine dxm, even if its a single active ingredient. One note on mixing opiates and dxm, ive had a result that i noticed every time i tried the mixture, i dont kno if it happens to others, but it seem while mixing, that the opiate's effects were shortened. I only had a fairly low dose of opiates, with a 300 mg dose of dxm, maybe i shoulda balanced it better is why.

Veeerrry interesting. I'll have to give it a try with opies! It was the powder we were getting here about 10 years back, and I can tell you it was some wacky shit! Unfortunately people weren't educated about how to use it at first (having 2 doses an hour apart to get to 2nd plateaux, etc) and as it was sold for pretty cheap some poor ignorant fools were taking way too much & ending up in hospital, which pretty soon ended our robo adventures! He he I remember the old robo itch, followed by the robo walk, and not being able to piss for hours. Those were the days! Wow, now I think abouit it, Itching & urinary retention, sounds like opiate side effects!
