Two Scripts, Two Docs, Two Days

I was in a bar fight and got hurt pretty bad.
Went to the hospital, and had my head and neck x-rayed. Got 2, 2mg Dilaudid shots in my ass.
Left with a script from Doctor A for 16 "Oxycodone 10mg."

Next day, went to local pharmacy, Oycodone 10mg is not in stock. Called around, the drug is not in stock anywhere in my town. According to local Pharmacist friend, they have to order it on a case-by-case basis.

Day two, still hurt, can't get script filled, go back to hospital. Treated again, Dillie in int ass plus other things. Told to follow up with orthopedic surgeon. Give a script for 30 "Flexeril 5mg" and 16 "Darvocet-N100.

These can be filled anywhere.

So, the question is... Should I get the Oxy script filled even though I was given a different script from a different doctor?

Get them both filled, EM scripts are so small in number of pills you should not have a problem.

That's one pharmacist who is a keeper. Mine tattled on me to my doctor for filling my script as soon as the insurance would let me with the refills instead of spacing them out more.

Unfortunately there isn't really any such thing as Oxy 10mg! As I found out the hard way.

There are 5, 7.5 & 10mg PERCOCET, but not OxyIR (aka Roxicodone). OxyIR is available in 5, 15, and 30mg dosages. A lot of docs don't seem to know this, for some crazy ass reason! :(

My doc tried to script me 7.5mg OxyIR and that got us nowhere, unfortunately. I had to trade the script back in to him for a higher count of the 5mg OxyIR.

The 30mg'ers are awesome- just crush and sniff! No coating to slow me down. Lots of people have said it before- that's the best form of oxycodone. And if I could only have one script for the rest of my days, it would be 30mg roxicets (of the things I've tried). That would be a good thread- if you could only have one script...

maybe a poll- like with the usuals- MS IR, OC IR, OC, dilaudid, fentanyl, etc...

The pils turned out to be oxycontion 10mg, just scriped inproperly.

It fucking sucks. If I can't get my doc to switch me to Duragesic/Fetanyl and/or Opana (oxymorphone) this week then I will accept nothing less than 120 of the 15mg OxyIR for breakthrough going forward on top of no less than 90 OC80's and 90 OC40's per month.
