This may seem like a stupid question on the surface, but Swim would really like to hear different people's perspectives: Do you think Vics (or any relatively weak opiate for that matter) are 'shut in' drugs?
By 'shut in', I mean that you don't see a lot of usage out there socially, in the clubs or on the streets, cause people who have them just stay entertained at home.
I'm sure it differs in various parts of the country. Have seen some posts where people mention 'the scene' is easy to find where they are.
Down here, Swim can walk into a certain bar and find 3/4 of the crowd is on coke. But ask 'em about vics and they don't have any, don't know anybody who knows anybody who has any...its just odd to swim.
Personally, swim thinks a light dose of hydro is the perfect 'party' drug. It gives one a boost of energy, a positive attitude, pain-free hours for dancing or standing to watch some bands play...oh, and way less desire to drink any alcohol.
But it doesn't seem very popular in swim's neck of the woods, just curious what other's experience is.

at the sweaty movie star parties. keep your figure? do coke.

i think its because of different ppl's reaction to the drug
me, i LOVE it socially, its the only time i feel "normal" in a crowd of ppl, no anxiety, no shame, no worries, but without the drama that accompanys me when i drink:p
other ppl take em and fall pleasantly asleep, some clean...its a facinating chemical reallly

I am with you, when I had alot of percs, I would crush them up in orange juice and sip on it at partys or get togethers with friends or family and made for very interesting topics and discussions, that I normally would not have had, which is one of the reasons I love it so much

And if a drunk had some he probably already took them only to help his buzz from the booze. Alpt of drunks i have worked with would always buy 'em so they would have less to drink with the same effect.
I would say that the weaker pain killers "vics" and "percs" are more popular and this is why I would also say that certain things like Morphine Heroin and Oxys are less "talked about" in the open. There are many reasons why; Im sure but one I've been thinking about was how, say in the last sixish years, oxys have been talked about alot in the media. It's become an "Epidemic" of sorts, whatever that means, and well its just your run o the mill demonizing campaign. The kind that seem to be asexual in nature. And with this everyone's, the opiate naive in this case, awareness has been raised ever so slightly. Even if it is on the level of sub-concious awareness. We'll call it the Collective sub-concious or at least i will .You can call it whatever you want.
I dont know if this is to the point or not but all im saying is that with this opiate naive crowd im talking about ( you know... non-junkies) it seems, to me, that "vics" and "percs" aren't as much the shut in drug that you are talking about and that the stronger ones are. Maybe its because they are a great accompanyment to whatever your average person is gonna be doing. Whereas a gram of Horse is gonna put them on their ass or maybe on their knees with their face in the toilet.
In short....No.
It's five am and i feel chatty. Piss off.
Hey ^^^ makes sense to me. what he said.
