The capsules that have Ehtex on the side are good. Ive only had fives and if thats all they come in then i, as im sure you wouldnt, pay 20 bucks for that. They are either orange and white or Beige and white with some black lettering or some combination of that. I had a few handfulls two days ago but still cant remember. So Many PILLS!!
I think the ones i get say Ethex 041 ......
Okay here ya go....
IMPRINT --------- MG --------------COLOR ------- SHAPE ----------- OTHER SHIT
ETH 445 ---------15------- Yellow Round --------Scored, ETH one side, 445 other side. Immediate release.
ETH 446---------- 30--- White Round ------Scored, ETH one side, 446 other side. Immediate release.
ETH 625------------ 5----------- Orange Round
ETHEX 041------ 5----- White & Buff------- Capsule Immediate-release oxycodone.
Okay that looks like shit but you get the point. Oh and i dont know what your tolerance is like but snorting them is kinda out of the question expecially at the MG I normally get. They are fun to just pop in your mouth all day. dont shoot anymore so i havent tried that but regardless I idont think id shoot it even if i still did. Have fun if the price ends up right.

i still bang so if i was gonna get them thats prob the route id take. maybe this kid misunderstood him but maybe 5 for 20 or something, because 4 bucks per mg is fucking retarded, and i dont know anyone, even highschoolers that would pay that shit, much less a junky.

I am a new member...I know this is rather late and the money spent if you went with 20 bucks for 5s...way too high! There is no such thing or corporation (to my knowlege?) as Ethernex??? What he probably had was 5 mgs tabs of Roxicodone (Immediate Release oxycodone) made by Ethex Pharmeceuticals. They are a peachy orange in color. They would have had ETH 625 on them. I take the the 15 mg Ethex, which are yellow tabs with ETH 445. There is also a 30 mg Roxi that is white and has ETH 446 on them. Amide Pharmeceuticals also makes these and this is what I was given on my last script. They are as follows, 5mgs peach and brown cap, 15mgs green tab with A 214 (i believe) on them, and 30 mgs is a blue tab. All the Amide will have an A on the top and a number on the bottom of the pill. I have severe and intolerable total body pain and have been diagnosed with multiple spinal disorders. I also take 30 mgs of oxycontin (a 20 mg and a 10 mg) 3 time a day. Oxycontin is extended release and Oxycodone HCL is immediate release Roxicodone...no acetominiphen or ibuprophen. Percoset is also oxycodone but has varying amounts of acetomenophen or ibuprophen in them. The highest amount of oxycodone in Percoset is 10 mgs. Therefore the Roxicodones are much better for pure, intolerable pain. Something that may be of interest, is that the Ethex Roxicodones are supposedly formulated (to dissuade abuse), as they are supposed to turn "gummy" if they are crushed for snorting or for IV use. I have not found this to be true, but the company does advetise this as a deterent to the "patient" who may find other ways to use these pills :) Even with the Oxycodone and Oxycontin, I am still in a great deal of pain. My doctor keeps trying to make me more comfortable, but he sure goes about it very slowly! He increases my doses or changes meds every month. This new combination is the best I have been on for pain releif. As for getting high...not so for me. I think I have built a tolerance to all the strong pain meds, as I have been on them for almost 5 years. I can get a buzz and total pain relief if I double up on my meds, but I do not do this, as I do not want to run out before my next prescription is filled...I really do have horrific pain and I beleive I would simply die if I had to go without medication. For most people though, the Roxicodones are a simply wonderful high! In this area a 5 mgs would sell for 3.00, the 30 mgs probably about 10.00 to 15.00. I am not sure though, as I have not tried to buy them off the street. I do know that Norco (Hydrocodone 10/325) sells for 3.00 to 4.00 each...I bought these several years ago (before I had a good pain specialist). Fentanyl (Actiq) 400s are 15.00 and 800s are 20.00 to 25.00 on the street. Now these are wonderful! Docotors can no longer prescribe them to anyone other than cancer patients. This is a shame, as they did work very well for me. All this is just information to me though...I live on a disability income and cannot afford to buy them. I am thankful though that I have a good doctor and that he is pro-active in helping me fight this horrible pain. Good luck to all of you that are seeking.

^^^^Perc now has a 15 milligram pill that just came on the market in the last year. Also The abuse proof you mentioned in Roxys is not something i have ever noticed and i have shot just about every variation they have.
I was wondering did id the only pain med you are taking is the 30mg of OC a day. I may have read it wrong but if that is the case then you really dont have that high of a tolerance. If you are in severe pain like you said and 30 mgs isnt cutting it you should look into a trying to get different opiates. Oxycodone really isnt all that strong and you may be better of with something like Hydromorphone.
Its good to have a new member here and I look forward to anything you may have to share in the future. All due respect but there are a few things in what you typed that are common misconceptions and are incorrect. I think you could benefit a great deal from this site especially since you are a CP trying to live a normal life without constant pain.
Read as much as you can and you will learn a whole hell of alot.

Thank you for the info, but I still think I would prefer the Roxys to the 15 mg Percocets. You did misunderstand my pain meds...I am on 15 mgs of Roxicodone four times a day and 30 mgs of Oxycontin three times a day. I agree with you on the strength of the oxycontin...it seems to do very little for me, but being in my system on a constant basis, probably is giving me some relief. Do people ever snort it? It does have a gummy texture, but there ways around this...like scraping off the coating?? The Roxicodone does help though. I feel it immediately. The only problem though, the pain relief is only there for about 2 hours...so, I have to wait another 4 hours to take another dose. I could take them closer together, but I would run out of meds before the month's end. Is there a way to take these two meds that would give me more pain relief? What about spreading out the oxycontin by snorting it over the 8 hour period??? I have been told it was not very effective this way. I have tried it a couple of times, but it was gummy and made me feel nauseous. I am on other meds too, but only these two pain meds. Stuff for sleep, depression, and anxiety.
I am looking forward to seeing more around the site. I am not really sure what questions are appropriate?? Your help would be appreciated.
About the Roxicodone made by Ethex...I read the info on it becoming "gummy" somewhere before coming to this site. I think it was on a site called Pill Identifier. My previous prescripption was made by Amide, so I wanted to see what this yellow one was and which was better..if there is a difference. I just got it today, so not sure yet. It did crush just fine though :)

hi freedom welcome to the board and a nice first post.
as far as your comment on the actiq, that is a little incorrect. your dr may have told you that they can't be rx'd for anyone but cancer patients but several people get them rx'd for other cp issues other than C.
i get actiq suckers, in addition to fent patches, for pain from a bad fusion at c2-c3. the screws are rubbing against the nerve to the point were 5 out of 7 days my right arm is completely paralyzed.
i have been thru all of the "milder" meds, including oxys and morphine, and the fent is the only thing that comes close to making my arm "useable".
the dea just recently advised dr's that they would not be hassled or questioned for "off-label" scribing, as long as they can verify the patient is in medical need of fent or actiq, or any other narcotic.
if you haven't talked with your dr recently about trying the actiq again, now would be a good time to at least bring the subject up.
plenty of great knowledge on the boards, so read to your hearts content and feel free to add information or ask questions, if you don't already see answers thru the search engine.
again, welcome to the board, good luck, and i hope your pain gets better.

I certainly know about back pain! I have Arachnoiditis, in addition to Ankylosing Spondylitis. I also suffer from near paralysis, or I think this is what it is??? I have periods of time that my feet are totally numb, as is a section of my back (L4 and L5). My bones are also fusing here, in my neck, and in my left hip. The last scan is now showing shoulder involvement also. I have never actually been prescibed the Actiq...a friend that IS a cancer patient has a prescription and she used to share a few with me. They worked so much better than anything that I have ever taken. I have been given injectable morphine, but never any in pill form, not by prescription anyway. My friend is the one that originally told me that they had quit prescribing the Actiq for non-cancer patients. I did mention this drug to my doctor about 6 months ago and he did not seem enthusiatic about trying it..he did say that it was mainly used for cancer patients. I will see my doctor again in a month and will ask him about this again. Getting pain meds is liking trying to pull teeth from a tiger...very difficult indeed! Even though I have medical substantiation, MRIs, CTs, bone scans, blood test..everything substantiating my diagnosis, the doctors seem so afraid to prescribe. I have only been going to my current doctor for 8 months, although he has done more for me than any doctor that I have seen, it is still not enough. My first pain clinic would not even run the tests! My current doctor had a multitude of tests performed and I finally got my multiple diagnosis and pain meds that have really helped, I still am far from pain free. My pain is not an off and on thing...it is honestly constant, even with meds! My current combination of Oxycotin (90 mgs per day) and the Roxicodone (60 mgs per day) has helped. It helps the severity, but does nothing for the burning, tingling, numbness, and stabbing pains I experience constantly. It does help the constant dull, crampy pain. I appreciate your sharing with me, it gives me the courage to tell my doctor that this is just not working. I have had some pretty hateful doctors through all this and have become afraid of them in a way. I am so happy to get a good one, that I have been hesitant in complaining to him about anything. Honestly, this is not fair to me or to him as my doctor.
I apreciate your sharing and all the other info I have found here. I will not be such a coward the next time I see my doctor!!!!
Please feel free to contribute anything that you have endured as well.

Hi Freedom, my dad has the EXACT same thing wrong with his back. The numbess/burning/tingling/stabbing/shooting pains you are feeling are nerve pain and most of the time are not helped by ANY amount of narcotic pain meds. There is a medication called Lyrica, it is specifically for the burning/stabbing/numbess/shooting you feel with nerve pain. While it has not totally gotten rid of my fathers pain it has helped quite a bit in addition to his narcotic medication. He takes Roxicodone 30mg every 3 hours around the clock along with the Lyrica. There ia another med called Cymbalta, which is actually an anti deppressant but it has been FDA approves for Nerve pain. If you haven't tried these meds it may be worth talking to your doctor about.:)

Thank you for the info. I am on Cymbalta and tried Lyrica when it first came out. At that time, I was only taking Norco and was still in so much pain that I did not think the Lyrica helped. I should try it again, as I have pain meds that are bit more adequate. I will also mention this to my doctor at the next appointment. I told my current doctor (when I first started seeing him) that Lyrica had not helped me and we have not discussed it again. Good idea...thanks for writing. Everyone has been so helpful...this really has been a great find!

Yeah freedom you definately gonna fit in just fine here. Some of what I said was said to see what kind of reaction I was going to get and from the reaction you gave you seem like a stand up dude.
Like I said I think your going to find this site very helpful in your pursiut of making the most out of your pain killers.
One main thing is when you have a question or think of an idea spend awhile on the search engine using a variety of words. You may have to dig sometimes cause when some of us, like me in my surrent state, get way sidetracted and some of us, like me alot, go on incoherent rants. But for the most part there is some great information here.
I am in a hurry right now but when I get some time Ill pull some links to some of the better more informative thread that we have here so you can get a taste of some of the genius that is Opiophile.com.
Rule#1...NO SOLICITATION. This is not a place to get connec's. I believe there is an entire page somehwere in the forum list that explains all the rules in detail. Look for the drag down box on the bottom right of the page.
And Rule #2 (this is a personal one that I follow religiously. Read every post that JACKY creates. Everyone here is great but he (not she) is a pioneer in my opinion when it comes to all things opiates and more.
PEACE.

I personally wouldn't buy any pills that I can't see the bottle with the label, so I know exactly what the F it is I'm taking.....unless they are K-4's, etc or something real obvious..... (prolly those ethex 5mg caps, though) With the amount of pain your talking about , though......I would talk to the doc about some stronger pain meds, 150 mg of oxy a day really isn't that much , considering your diagnosis.....Just MHO, but I would be thinking more along the lines of high doses of Methadone, fentanyl, 8 mg hydromorphone....or maybe he's been listening to the pharm reps and will write you some of a new med called Opana (oxymorphone).....I'm hearing through the g-vine that this stuff will even put inoperable cancer pain in it's place...good luck in finding the right med that will keep you at least comfortable throughout the day, then a knock out med for sleep....just my 2 cents....pg

Since you 2 suffer from Arachnoiditis, strong probability you also suffer from 'Central Pain'. Hopefully, your PM Doc is knowledgeable bout this additional disease process.
Go to http://www.painonline.org
The ONLY medication that will touch Arachnoiditis + Central Pain is Fentanyl. Actiq, Fentora for your BT and either Fent patches or Oxy (the VERY min. being 80 mg TID). T-Rust me on this...Dont EVEN Fuk around w/ANY other combo, TOTAL WAISTOID. Oh, and don't 4get your Antidepressant so you wont blow your MotherFucking head off from these 2 excruciatingly nihilistical torturing conditions.
The only other option to manage the "Dante-esque" pain from the torture of these 2 "MADD"enning diseases is an intrathecal morphine pump (sweeeetness, ya still get BT meds 2 w/that,ya know). Geeperz-Kreeperz, that sounds so yummy to me, but, oh well, I'm only 37 [& only been in PM 4 years, YES, I know, That IS FKD-UP because my issues started when I was 15, then by 18 had cauda equina syndrome (central disc rupture, emergency like sheeiiitt, but, heh DUMB ASS me went 6 FKG months w/out telling my neurosurgeon I was Incontinent [of bladder Only, thank God...no, on second thought...F__k God] Oops! didn't mean 2 offend anyone but 4 last 10 months I've had a "Progression of My Disease Process" and it has almost taken me from myself, literally. I would post ALL my pain issues, but wud kreep u all out 2 much, I'm new here, but the cauda equina crapola is rare, and the END issues you deal with are probably 2 graphic 2 post! My dad's feet hurt so bad from the spinal stenosis and ruptured disc that socks hurt his feet, he said they are numb but feel like someone poured gasoline on them and lit them on fire. He said it feels like some is hitting him over and over again with a hammer in the shins. I had to help him today with his socks, since his stroke he has a hard time doing things, but I felt terrible putting those socls on him he was in agony, just from me touching his feet. Worst of all is since there is bleeding in his brain at the site of the stroke they will not give him his pain meds. The bleeding causes pressure in the brain and opiates increase the pressure, to dangerous right now. I can't say I know what you feel, but I do see me dad suffer through this terrible type of pain daily. It sucks:mad:

Actually, I didn't (or forgot) to specify the ONLY reason anyone in this forum (I thought it was pain management issues) should take a little looksee at that is for the educational value of my post on 2/2 @ 12:58. Which merely serves to extend the above post for further understanding of apparently some unknown disease processess.
