So Swim was trying to cop in Boston earlier, cause hes new to the town, so he asked some shirtless black dude who was holding doors open for change at the local 7-11 where he could get some fun. His fiance, this man and himself walked around for nearly an hour, talking about shit, and he really seemed legit. Dialed a number and everything. Seemed like a cool guy. Of course when we get to the place he tells Swim to wait outside, so swim made the terrible mistake of giving him a hundred bucks and then waiting around the corner. Fucker took off. Swim really should have known better, he was just so desperate for a fix....and now he has no money, and no dope. :(
Oh, and out of curiousity, how much does a gram ussually run in Boston, if anyone knows? This dude said that they don't do bags in Boston much, its always by the gram/half gram....this true?

I HAVE copped in those areas Devilsdrug, so I am aware......Thing is, I've been fairly out of practice for the past few years. I have managed to keep my opiate abuse to a minimum, and though I used to have a fairly nasty habbit, I have kicked the stuff except for the occasional (twice a month?) slip-up. I kinda follow the "wrestle the monkey off yr back, then you can play with it" theory at this point. So, my copping skills have been sharper, thats for sure. I just let them grow dull in recent times, now I am kicking myself for it.

Dude, if you havnt been ripped off......than I dont believe that you can officially be called a junky. It happens to all of us. It happened to me even, not too long ago. I was so stoked thinking about what a big fat bag I had just scored, and how easy it was. Well, when I got home and opened up the package.....I WAS PISSED!!

I got my knife and went right back to the spot to look for the motherfucker, but ended up finding some other guy who hooked me up. You just always have to follow the rule of all rules.......NEVER GIVE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT SEEING THE DOPE IN HAND!

What I do now is I make the guy get in my car and I drive around the corner as I rip the baggie open with my teeth and taste it with my tongue just to make sure. THEN, I give him the money. Around these parts, black is packaged in ripped off pieces of plastic grocery-store bags. I can usually tell right away if it is for real, or if they are trying to fuck me.

Look out for that heavy-duty black garbage bag sacks. What they do is usually rip what you SHOULD be getting in 1/2 and wrap the other 1/2 in that heavy-duty trash bag material. This way, it is very hard to rip open fast, and you cant see thru it.

Really.....the only way to get what you want at reasonable prices is to be firm and look like you know what your doing. It takes practice......period.

I am not the biggest-baddest looking guy when I go to the "hot-spots" but I do take my time. Over the last year, I have become such a frequent customer that I have actually been introduced to the Big Dogs, and I can easily get a FAT G for around 20, sometimes 30 dollars every time now.

Ahhh, well thank you guys for making me feel a little better...I know its a crucial part to learning the trade, and I have definitely learned my lesson now. The guy seemed so legit, I was gunna ask him for collateral, I dont know why the fuck I didnt....I was with my fiance, and I didnt want to make the dude feel uncomfortable, becuase I didn't want my girl feeling uncomfortable. Plus, I thought the guy was going into a building right in front of us, he made it seem that way, so when he started walking down the street I just figured I wouldnt push it and piss him off. He said he was gunna deal with the higher ups, because he didnt want a skinny white dude going up there and getting fucked with, and I was fine with that because there was no way I was leaving my lady with this stranger or alone in the ghetto, and I sure as hell wasn't gunna bring her up. Black dog, I totally can relate to yr story, especially about the part where yr stuck waiting around, trying to convince yrself you havent been jipped. I ended up waiting for over an hour in the fucking rain. I've learned though....gotta see the merchandise atleast....Thanks for the reassurements guys.

I've actually had successful experiences copping that way. Not dope, though. Back then I was buying pot. Less money involved, for sure, but me and friends rode around asking people. It worked and I got some of the best pot that way, remarkably.

Heroin is a different story. It's too hard to tell the quality. People have different tolerances and something someone says is the shit to them might by literal shit for you. It can be risky that way. I've all but lost my stable connect around here and it seems I'm constantly going to new people. Most of it's bunk, some of it is junk. Hit and miss. I tend to trust people, though. I'll give them my money up front if I know where they live. I gotta know where they live, though. So if they rip me off, I'll have no problem riding down to their spot with some friends and seeing what the fuck is up.

Never had to do it yet, but I know it'll be interesting when it does.
