Im a little sketched I ordered an RC awhile ago from a top notch vendor who is considered the best in the business for jdub and it was nothing but problems and supposed lost packages and whatnot. He finaly after that long after me complaining told me he sent it express yesterday. I have never received express only priority so I figured it would just be dropped of by the truck like usual. Well the truck came but no package, I was like WTF and then like an hour later a car that looks suspiciously like an unmarked cop pulls up the driveway w/ the package. He said normaly it just would be dropped off on the regular truck but it arrived after the truck had already left so he hand delivered it. Should I be worried? I dont think i should be but I am for some reason.

Sounds normal to me. With express mail, depending on where you live/sending, they guarantee that you will get it one or two days. They last package I had expressed to me came in a suv a few hours after the postman had already come by.

If you are worried, write "return to sender' on package and do not open it for the next 4 days.

Hah thats funny you said that, thats the first thing I did. Yeah it said it was gurantee'd by today so Im assuming I'll be alright and they just didnt get it on the truck in time.

Yeah me too the only thing that worries me is I have read online in some places that they will have the postal inspector drop it off like everything is normal and then they will have the police show up hours later, the reason being by that time you've probably ripped it open and have started getting high and so you cant deny that you arent consuming it.

No not, hours later usually minutes after you sign for package and close the door. Did he look like a normal mailman, or was he pushy about you signing for shit, and maybe trying to see into your house/apartment? When I got did by federal postal inspectors, they jumped the gun and rushed b4 the door got closed. I had an oppurtunity to close door/clean up shop b4 they got the door open.

It actualy never even was handed to me, a family member was outside as they pulled up and handed it to them before I got outside. Said the guy was real nice and didnt have to sign for it.

Pretty sure you are good. If it was a controlled delivery they woulda come back soon at somepoint. Oh, and b4 they deliver it, they take what was in said package and replace it with something that weighs similar. Careful with that axe Eugene!

edit: seems like this fits the Shipping & Customs forum a lot better than the RC forum, so I moved it

One time I ordered some tramadol + soma from an overseas NROP (meaning it had to go through customs), and i forget what shipping it had but it was USPS and I went to the post office to pick it up (we don't have door delivery here, they just give you a "sorry we missed you!" slip to come pick it up).

Anyways, I was REALLY eagerly awaiting this package as I was hooked on tramadol, and I picked it up at the post office, and it turned out it was a very big package, like the size of a computer case but much lighter. I rushed home all excited but confused, and it turned out to be some weird eastern european (looked like it anyway) sew-by-numbers craft kit. I had heard about IOP's being more creative to get through customs so I searched through it, but nope, must have been a mix-up.

So like not even 30 minutes later the postwoman showed up at my door saying she gave me the wrong package. I asked if it was OK that I opened it and she said yeah, I was kind of freaking out at this point thinking that this was their way of doing a controlled delivery (since we don't have door delivery), and she gave me my package which was the right size (pills in vacuum sealed bags, like a really big, thick postcard package) and I gave her back the one I got.

Turned out to be nothing but that was weird as hell, my heart went up and down like 10 times in that hour. First thinking "FINALLY it's here!" then "oh great I got the wrong package, mine is probably in poland or something" then "oh shit they're gonna bust me as soon as I take this". So before opening it I went out to take a drive (probably a bad idea if they were gonna bust me, looking back), made sure I was alone and then opened it and took some pills and went back home. Of course it didn't take long for the soma to kick in (the tramadol does) so I didn't really care by that time, but it freaked me out looking back on it.

If they haven't got you by now, I'm sure it was legit, since for all they know you could have destroyed/hid any evidence. If you're really paranoid stash it somewhere safe off your property, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

This is not true. A lawyer would love this. Only in cases where the contents are immediantly harmful, (bomb) would they do this.

They want to catch you with the drugs.

A guy a know ordered a big bottle of GBL off the web. The DEA and several 'agencies' were at his house seconds after delivery.

They do not want to give you time to destroy the evidence.

A couple years ago when I was hooked on pods I was ordering a shitload of em every 2 weeks and the first few packages I was nervous but after awhile it just got to be routine and I didnt worry anymore. They were always sent priority no signature required. So one morning Im eagerly checking my tracking sick as hell in withdrawal and to my relief it says its out for delivery that morning. So I sit and stare at the street and having done this so many times before I can hear the distinct diesel sound of the mail trucks engine as it starts and stops in the subdivision behind me so I know its on its way well before it gets to my street.

Ah I hear it coming and there it is and Im almost salivating as it turns up my driveway. I eagerly skip out to happily great the mail lady who to my suprise is not the same one I see every other time. She hands me a couple envelopes but not my big box. I can clearly see my box of pods sitting on the seat next to her. After an awkward pause she looks at me and says "Oh I have a package for you and I need a signature". I was scared as hell because I always heard if you havent ever had to sign for it before and they say you have to then they are trying to bust you. Since I wanted my pods I signed it and hoped for the best and she smiled and gave me my box and drove away. I flipped through the envelopes real quick and turns out one had a "certified mail" sticker and it required a signature. I was so relieved and went in and made a huge dose of tea haha.

Requesting a signature is something the seller can add on. Most vendors with websites selling 'barely legal' items pay the money to have signature confirmation.

This is so you will not come running back to them demanding a refund/reship since the items never came.

I do this when I sale on ebay as well as provide insurance on anything over 100 dollars. It protects me as a seller and the buyer pays for it.

EDIT: From what I understand, packages that are wrapped horribly and look like they are going to fall apart raise red flags. You want your vendor to send you your goods in a nice new box or bubbler, and with a professional printed label. I have no idea why this is, but it is what the postal inspector told me. Why would someone sending 5000K worth of dope through the mail use a 20 year old box found in the garage and tape all over the place.

I save all of my boxes and bubblers and reuse them to sale stuff on ebay and forums. Packaging material is expensive, and wasteful.

Twice a month from mid 1982 till June 1985 I received EXPRESS MAIL packages with 1/2 pound to a pound of SEXY MEXY green buds.

Never had a problem but that was a long time ago

Priority shipping is the USPS bread and butter right now. I find it very efficient. 2-3 days from coast to coast. I buy stuff of the web almost every day and send things and have only once had a problem, but they were able to trace it.

Delivery Confirmation numbers you get when printing labels from USPS or paypal are as good as tracking. If you do not get your package in a week when shipping CONUS, you have a good chance of being scammed. First class mail is pretty quick as well.

Online vendors have built successful businesses by shipping the same day and using priority. Customers love quick shipping.

Mailing illegal or 'grey' items comes with problems. The biggest one is how to accept payment in a secure way. Paypal will ban your ass fast, and some of the credit card processing companies will do the same. You are left with sending WU which offers no protection to the consumer.
