Anybody else watch this show? I know vaxn8 does but there's gotta be more than two of us. Its coming to end.

I try to catch it every week from the beginning. I thought it would come down between Lukas and Dylana, but I'm starting to think that Dylana won't make it simply because she's a chick and SuperNova probably wants that ardrenaline hardrock image to maintained so I dont think she'll make it. I think she is definately the best though. I love her voice, reminds me of Janis so much sometimes.

But I dont think Jason will go for Lukas, he seems like he cant totally get into his voice and I cant really blame him. Lukas gets too gravelly sometimes.

I think it might be Magni that makes it.

Its one of those reality shows, well sort of. Jason Newsted, Gilbey Clarke and Tommy Lee are putting together the group SuperNova and I guess they decided to hold auditions for the singer/frontman this way.

It started with like 20 singers and now its down to 4. The show doesnt really deal with the interaction of the singers, so its mostly rock covers all show long by the contestants. Every week 1 (sometimes 2) get bumped off. You can vote yourself and then the bottom 3 each week have to perform again and then SuperNova picks the one who goes home. So theres two shows each week, the performace show and then the elimination show.

I think next week they pick the winner of the 4.

INXS did it last year to replace their singer/frontman. I didnt watch that though. And I'm glad they dont deal with the behind the scenes drama (assuming there is some).

I'm not a huge fan of Motely Crue, GNR or Metallica, I definately respect them and their place and what the mark they made. But the music theyve written so far sounds really good. It has more of a classic rock sound with an hint of metal. More like Rolling Stones or Led Zep sound than current day hard rock / metal.

I missed it last night since i was stuck in my lab unti almost midnight :mad: I reallly think they are going to go with Toby although he isn't my choice. I also think Dilana is the best, but she unfortunately lost some support when she made some stupid comments a couple weeks ago. Then, last week she screwed up the lyrics on her elimination preformance. I was glad to see they didn't kick her off last night, I wasn't a fan of Storm at all. Normally, i don't like female singers for this type of stuff, but D has got the most interesting voice I have heard in a long time.

I really think it is going to be Toby or Magni. Both are good, but I don't feel like they are anything new or different from what's been done. I absolutely love Tommy Lee, I have been in love with that man since 82' (or was it 84 when "too fast for love" came out?). I know he is the biggest sleaze in the US, maybe the world, but there's something about that guy that just does it for me. :D :D

Image over substance. People will definitely give credit to a frontman who won his job from a reality show. Yeah, right.

Gilby Clarke was in GNR for about 10 minutes. He's not a rockstar. Dave Navarro wears more makeup than most women. Also not a rockstar.

what do you mean "wont do well?" The new INXS had the sucess of a promo video, after the little promotion of having a weekly, nationally televised audition for the closest sounding, best looking, lead singer for months on end.

Yes, I don't see DD being swayed by Tommy Lee's "hotness" or lack there of. Amusing thought, though.

And Vaxn8, glad you are enjoying Mr. Lee... sounds like he's one of your faves.

I could talk all day about Tommy's Hottness! Seriously though, I thought they did a pretty good job with the show (for a reality show). I like how they didn't just drag ever asshole off the street who wanted a shot - they really found some really good singers that have already done a lot of their own work.

I'm not a fan of Dave's either, Gilby's alright but nothing special. I do really like Jason alot, and of course I think everyone already knows what I think of Mr. Lee. :D

What part I like the best.... Actually, I think I know the answer to that. I love his energy! He has the energy and enthusiasm of a little kid, rare in adults (probably for good reason !:)) When you listen to him talk, you can tell exactly what gets him off. When he's talking about his drums, you can feel the excitement that he feels. He seems like a guy who would be a lot of fun - even just hanging out with for a night, or I wouldn't mind a duet on the drums :D! A lot of drummers are a little on the hyper side to start with, I think that's why we like to bang on stuff.

The other thing that is the best is just HIM the physical part of HIM. I love his tats and he's just soooooo hot (to me). I know a lot of people don't think he is a good looking guy, he's got the Greek nose thing going on and he's all bones, he won't win a body-building award. He's like a big, giagantic, super-cold tall glass of coke on a nasty summer day :D.


BTW Antony, this is totally unrelated to my Tommy obsession.... Do you have an accent? You know how you get a mental image of someone when you read their writing and thoughts? I don't know where I got this idea, but I always hear an accent with you. Could just be my melted brain remnants, and I don't know what gave me this idea - I was just curious though. For some reason, I also think you have really dark hair and I don't have a clue where I would get that idea either, unless it's just subconscious from the pic of your girl or whoever the woman is. Who knows, could just be me and lack of sleep and food~

Ha! Very true - it certainly didn't hurt his case with me!~ Do you really have a portugese accent?
