Hi !
There is evidence that Chamomile acts as an inhibitor to the development of dependance & the manifestation of withdrawals when consumed consistently!!

So there you go!
Drink Chamomile 3 times a day (or as much as you can handle) and you could help protect your body against the vices of opiates...
I love Chamomile anyway but now I love it more!!!

Is there any evidence that it helps once someone is already addicted? If this shit is true, I really wish I had known that a long time ago...

I know that chamomille helps potentiate, which means you can cut back on your doseage, and that will help bring your tolerance down over time. Its pretty subtle though, and you'll mostly have to depend on your self-control, and set a schedule. You won't 'feel' higher, you just won't get sick if you gradually start to increase chamomille intake and decrease opiate intake over time.
There are others that can help too. The best way is to look as several, and use more than one, either together or alternate. Look in the 'opiods in nature' section of this board for more info, especially jacky's posts.

another one is rosemary, there is some data on that one too as well...
I am actually making a rosemary tincture tonight for some research purposes.
I am going to create an herbal cough syrup, that contains the anti-tussive opioids menthol, nigella sativa oil, and think a good additive would be rosemary, ashwaghanda, bacopa, and chamomille, and cinnamon....all reported to help with some symptoms of opiate withdrawl.
this herbal tussin might do more than calm a cough, perhaps it might also sooth a dope sickness.
add a little loperamide and maybe a little calm might touch the storm of withdrawl.???
