My mate got off an SSRI and onto Efexor.
I'm assuming we have no database and wondered if there is any recreational potential and if so, what dose ?
Will it detract from the MDMA experience if It's a one-off ? I may choose to go out later, you see ...
I would appreciate any advice, brains trust.

i know little about effexor save its opiodish structure.
its really no use recreationally,
and id be VERY leery of any anti D with mdma unless youre scripted and been on it a long time/are used to the effects.
ill talk to a few people i know who have been on it and use concurrently.
for now tho chipp, be safe, be smart,
leave the shit for yer buddy...

I agree but maybe a 25 mg. tonic-like dose may keep me swimming in my fave neurotransmiters for a little longer - a potentiater for Seratonin and Dopamine.
But just enough to stay a little longer ? Or am I just being silly and probably messing around too much ?
Is my tonic idea worth a go ? Taken concurrently or a couple of hours later. Timing and dose - there's a synergistic possibility there.
Thanks for trying to follow it up my TGD locum friend.

I was on Effexor (at 150mgs per day) for a couple of years, and I never noticed any potentiating or synergistic effects with other drugs with it. It worked okay as an anti-depressent, but compared to every other anti-d I've been on, it was was the hardest to wean off of, if you miss a dose, you feel all weird and 'shocky' (that's the only way I can describe it). I have felt like that when taking other anti-ds, but Effexor was by far the worst.

I had heard that it is a good anti-D but It's a bitch to come off. Ok, I'll forget it and thanks for your input.

yeah chipp,
even at 'tonic' doses,
id be wary of mixing it with MDMA...

I'll echo what's been said already–Effexor doesn't have much, if any, recreational value, and it shouldn't be combined with MDMA.
If you wanna try it Chip, I'd save it for some other time, sans MDMA.

When it comes to drug advice, I trust you guys with my life. Literally.
I will return the meds my mate gave me. Thank you so much for talking me out of it. Seratonin Syndrome is a complication I don't even want to flirt with.
