First IV experience

Well for the last few weeks I had been snorting hydromorphone, and it was working quite well. But I see everyone raving about it when it is IV'd, and I had to try it. It was not my first time with needles at all. Actually, I have IM'd hydromorphone a few times (only 4mg's twice) and I have IV'd oxy. Anyway so I got off work and decided to try it. Since my tolerance for the stuff was up a little bit, I tried a 8mg tab. I thought I would have a huge rush, and I did, but not as big as I thought, I was just fuuuucked up. I felt quite a bit better than just snorting it and was nodding big-time. I went and took a hour 1/2 nap for God's sake... lol. Anyway, that's about it, I don't know why I felt like telling the world about it, I just did. :-) I have never taken a hydromorphone tab orally, and don't plan on it, as I've heard it's a waste. For how small these little 8mg pills are, they pack a punch. :p

Don't worry buddy, I stay as safe as possible. :D Thanks for looking after me though. I have a question though, is there anywhere else on your body besides the middle of your arm that is easy to inject into? I'm going to go ask this question on the main board and see if I can get a few responses over there.

I don't have any veins anyways cuz I'm a girl so I have terrible girly veins but I IV'd diludids for years and seeming they are so easy to inject I always used my hand and it was very easy,or where the face of your watch is on top of your arm beside the face of your watch is good too.

I just got off the phone with a friend who wants to shoot for the first time and he's going to give me some 4mg dillies for helping him out, which means that I'm going to shoot Dilaudid for the first time. I've been looking for these for a long time since I've only snorted them and have been wanting to slam them since I started slamming junk. I'm so excited!

I found a wonderful vein,it's lasted a fortnight of 5 hits a day.It's about an inch from the base of my right thumb,so my watch covers the track nicely. Oh I'll be sad when it disappears.

Good to see another AZ opiate user on here, I knew I wasn't the only one! :D What kind of a tolerance do you have? Since you say you have already been slamming junk, I would imagine your tolerance is at least a little high. If I were you, I would start out with a 8mg shot... thats my magic number where I feel the 'magic' of hydromorphone. I wouldn't start out with anything higher then that though, you may need more but since you have a little tolerance, 8mg is a good starting point. My veins are really getting hard to find now though, ever since I was young the doctors even had a hard time getting a IV in me. I IV'd a 8mg this morning after poking myself like 5 other times looking for a vein. I really need another person there to help me with the process. If my veins were really big like weight-lifters, I would be fine, but they are not and having another person there to help would be lovely. My best friend loves opiates too, but he's a stingy bastard... he gets 10mg OC's from his dad all the time and doesn't let me know he had them until they are all gone..and he's done that to me like 2 or 3 times now, pretty fucked up huh? So I'm kinda getting back at him in a way by not telling him about all the 8mg Dilaudud I have.. heh.. see kids, when you share you get rewarded later in life.

And combined with my fent..I don't want to od...I use a 100 mcg patch every three days as rx'd unless I decide to suck/chew one...

So is banging 8 mg. the way to go? I want to try 12 mg. because I have a tolerance...but am worried that combined with the fent it would be too much...hell...I've looked it up but don't see anything about using fent and hydromorphone.

Just got the rx yesterday 100 M4s/month...not bad, I guess...

If you are going to do this while you have a patch on, don't go anywhere near 8 mg i.v. unless you have some idea of what you can tolerate i.v. with the patch on! For example, if you know that while wearign the patch you can tolerate 10 mg iv morphine, it would be easy to convert to hydromorphone. If you arrived in the ER, you would get 1 or 2 mg hydromorphone iv, if they didn't know about your tolerance.

About your M4's, are they white? Sounds like generic, Mallinkrodt hydromorphone, but you should be able to tell if it was a script you got at a pharmacy.

Like vax said, don't do 8mg if you have a patch on! Unless of course you know your tolerance is really high and the patches aren't doing much...

the M 4's are generic Mallinckrodt brand and they are fine to shoot...that's what I was shooting when I was doing D's..they don't have to be cooked, just dissolve in cold water and filter...

I do believe Ethex is trying to take over the generic Dilaudid prescriptions at most pharmacies...know somebody who works in a pharmacy and they have said a lot of pharmacies have been switching to Ethex for a lot of opiates (especially MS Contin, OxyContin, OxyIR, and now Dilaudid) so maybe everyone should start to know what those look like...

Sooooo...um....if I can easlily tolerate 8 mg. orally with the patch on...I don't think I felt ANYTHING taking 8 mg. orally...what do you think of 4 mg. shot up? Maybe I should cut the tablet in two and try 2 mg.

I also take tylenol 4 and hydrocodone (worthless piece of shit they are)...so I am stopping the hydrocodone and takining just the hydromorphones...anyway....any high is totally evading me....what can I do?

Well sometimes I like to go w/o patch for 12-24 hours and then put one on, chew one and take some valium...so I am wanting to know: how long do I have to go without the patch to get a good rush off the d's?

What dose of fent are you on? I didn't know they made stronger patches than the 100s...I guess you could wear two....I have...and since you have the same meds as I...do you have any tips for getting off on the fent? I chew/suck on them which is relaxing.

:) I am a nurse and I decided I wanted to try Dilaudid IV, I was curious. So I got some in IV form from work along with needles, etc. Let me tell you it was awesome. It blew me away. LOVED IT!!!

Well, if you were wearing the fent, it is approximately 5 hours before you will notice the fent is gone. This is the minumum I would wait. I rarely wear them for that reason, also I'm rx'd 2-75 ug ones at a time. If you are just eating it, it wears off lots faster, 2 hours is usually plenty for me to wait.

For the fent question, the safest way would be wearing and if you need to increase, adding heat. A lot of people say eating them is not a good idea, some people have said they suffered liver damage from doing this. I haven't found evidence to back that up, but really haven't looked that hard, I probably should tho! I don't do them iv very often, that is definitely not good for ya. BTW, all my comments are on Duragesic Brand specifically, I don't use the generics or the non-gels at all.

Hey All,

I've popped Norco 10/325 for probably 2 years, had a tolerance of 10 / 100 mg to get high but could do it only once a day, twice a week to be effective.

Stopped that for a year, went on suboxone about 2 mg per day, and learned to enjoy the pleasures of fine wines and top cannabis varieties.

Then I got injured with the credentials to have hundreds of Oxycontin 40s and Dilaudid 4s (not to mention hundreds of Vicodin and Percocet which I just threw in a bag for now). I could either take them as directed (2 40s/ day plus as needed dilaudid 4s) or simply take the same dose differently to get high and still be pain free either way. So my current dose to get good and high all day is 120 mg crushed Oxycontin and 12 mg Dilaudid on an empty stomach in the morning. Sometimes when filling a new Oxy script I've tried taking Dilaudid but can't even feel anything off 9 (36 mg).

If I want to snort the stuff (d-did), what's my equivalent dose?

If I want to bang the stuff (d-did), what's my safe equivalent dose considering I feel nothing off 6-9 oral? I have never IVd anything except morphine, etc, in the hospital.

Back to the subject of pill varieties, I have "M4" and another, much smaller one, maybe half the size, labelled "LCI 1354 / 4". What are the differences in cooking and banging these?

PS I just tooted 2 of the big 4's and did not get any rush and got mildly high. Definitely not my target nor the rush and duration I get of the 120 Oxy and 12 Dil oral. My only compliment is it sure is hell stronger than taking 2 of the 4's orally. Any advice for bigger lines (I'm a seasoned coke user and these were pretty large lines just for 8 mg). Not that I won't do it.

Now I'm in no way afraid of needles either, and have been through 1.5 years of several steroid cycles, 22 in the thigh IM self administered. Should I just be safe and try 4, 8, 12, in 4 mg increments on separate days in insulin rigs to be safe? Can any friends offer advice on the cooking specifics of M4 (4 mg generic) and the super small "LCI 1354 / 4" (also 4 mg generic) for a first time home IVer?

I think the conversion ratio is about 4:1 -What is snorted or ingested should be done in 1/4th the amount. Good luck. I've only fixed the old D's where you cooked them up. I don't know much about what's on the market now! Good luck!
