Methylone Experiences?

Does anyone know anything about Methylone or has anyone had a chance to try it? I have been rather interested in it for some time now but never indulged. It's the Methcathinone analoge of MDMA, atleast that's what I'm talking about (2-methylamino-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propan-1-one)... I guess there is some other similar chemical that people commonly reffer to as "Methylone" also, not sure what that is. Well SWIM may be able to aquire some of this stuff in the near future and is growing more and more curious. Everything I read about it contradicts itself though, it's an enigma to me.

For one, according to reports on Erowid and the like, it is an empathogen much like MDMA (see molecular comparison below)... almost everyone says that, they also say that it is very different in many of the same reports. Supposedly it has much less Serotonin activity than other MDA type drugs but this doesn't make much sense because most of the experience reports say something about more of a psychedelic type feel than most enactogens (this statement also doesn't make sense though because there is no visual activity seen with Methylone, that I've heard of, and there has been on MDA... just a glowing psychedelic feeling I guess). Also there is supposed to be little to no euphoria (orally atleast) but it's grouped as a feel-good empathogen?

From what I gather a decent oral dose would be something like 150-225mg and maybe 80-125mg intranasal/PR.

Usually if I do some research on a drug I haven't come acrossed I can get atleast a ballpark figure as to what SWIM can expect from it, but the more I dig up on Methylone the more I am left wondering. Has anyone here ever came acrossed this drug or have a better understanding of it then I do?

Hmm, no one's dabbled in Methylone eh? It's actually gaining alot of popularity right now, I think what started the spread of it was it being marketed as a "vanilla room deorderizer" in liquid form with names like "Explosion" (which was a mix of Methylone and the Methylone imposter that I posted above)... I believe that was an English thing, I'm not possitive on that though. Since then I'm pretty sure that all comercial products containing the drug have been shut down or banned but it and similar analoges have showed up in a number of ecstacy pills, about as frequently as the Piperazines do... sometimes in combination. I am more than alittle curious about this substance: the effects it produces and the comedown/hangover in comparison with other MDA type drugs. SWIM is definately going to try it, it's written in stone. I don't know it's solubility but he is going to try varies methods of administration at doses ranging from minimal to intense... probably a week inbetween doses in an attempt to get around too much of a tolerace. It may take SWIM a few weeks to a month to get his greedy little hands on some but I will report back and tell you how it was.
