dosage question

hi, i was wondering if someone could help me out with a question. i have hydrocodone 5/500 tabs (thats all i can get free) and weigh close to 250. i was wondering how many i should take to get a good experience. tolerance is not a factor. thanks.

If you are opiate naive, start at 10mg's (thats 2 vics)

but seriously.....I would say start at 3 of them. that will get you feelin good if you don't have a tolerance.

also look into using the "search" link. it works. i've used it. you should too.

If this is your first time taking any form of opiates, 25 mg's of hydrocodone can make ya pretty fuckin sick. I remember when I took 3 of em on an empty stomach and I couldnt stop puking for like 3 hours.....shit, those were the days

I hope for your safe you have somewhat of a tolerance, if you dont, I would east something REALLY REALLY QUICK!!!

Damn Biskits you are one lucky bastard, I would give anything to be back where 5/500 vics could get me high. Nowadays I would most likely die from acetaminophen poisoning before I got high taking 5/500s. Like Shaunclo said, be sure to have some food in your stomach before you eat them or you will most likely puke and end up having a bad time. Eat 2-4 and you should be feeling great in about 30 minutes. Be safe and remember that you can always add more but you cant get what you have already taken out of your system.

B)hanging over your toilet puking your brains out from a newbie vicodin overload...or
C)a combination of both

I dont know ive never seen you here so i have no way of knowing what would be a good dose for ya. I dont know if its your first time or not...but ill tell you right now...dont go by weight. I know weight is a factor but it is not the be all and end all. You did say Tolerance is not a problem so i dont know. You should always start slow and build up. Until you become a regular in which case you will probably become comfortable with risk taking and understanding the risk you are taking. Alright im blabing im pretty opiated right now. Really i am happy for you...always happy for people experiencing opiates...strength in numbers..blah, blah, blah.

I only have 1/3 of my script left and I have only had it for 4 days. :( But on a good note, I finally had some movement in the bathroom today. This is an odd question, but what is the longest any of you gone without using the bathroom? There has to be some sort of limit....

As far as time for the next level - yeah that's why I am here. Since my opiate experiments are a solitary thing, I dont have anyone to talk to. I live in a major city, so I know the connections are out there, I just don't know where to look. But I am glad I've found 'my people' -- now I am able to ask my questions and share my knowledge.

^ Yep, sounds like you're outgrowing hydro, happens to us all. The day I realized it, I took 15 tens and all I got was a gut-ache. Next step for you: oxycodone, of course, Oxycontin in particular (most bang for your buck, obviously). Then more tolerance, then heroin, addiction, etc...

AOS MEETING: Rapid Hearing Loss Observed With Overuse Of Vicodin

LOS ANGELES, CA -- April 26, 1999 -- Researchers report that significant hearing loss is associated with abuse of Vicodin™, which combines the drugs hydocodone and acetampinophen, according to the results of a study presented April 25 at the annual meeting of the American Otological Society, held on April 24-25, at the Marriott’s Desert Springs, Palm Desert, CA.
The combination of hydrocodone and acetampinophen is used commonly to alleviate pain presents side effects similar to other habit forming medications and has the potential for inciting physiologic dependence and tolerance with repeated use. Additional symptoms related to overdose include respiratory depression, hypotension and coma.
Deafness resulting from narcotic overuse is a rare occurrence. In the past, there have been no reports of progressive hearing loss occurring as a result of overdosing hydrocodone or acetaminophen. However, Los Angeles ear, nose, and throat specialists have found that when both agents are combined and overused, hearing loss can occur and can progress to total hearing loss.

The primary objective of this retrospective study was to describe rapid and progressive hearing loss in patients taking Vicodin and to achieve successful rehabilitation with cochlear implantation. The research was carried out by Rick A. Friedman MD PhD, John W. House MD, William M. Luxford MD and Dawna Mills, from the House Ear Clinic, Los Angeles, CA, and Stuart Gherini MD, in private practice in Sacramento, CA.

The researchers recruited nine women and three men with an average age of 42 years with a range of 32 to 54 years. Each of the patients underwent extensive otologic history and physical examination to identify factors that may have caused the hearing loss. The tests included behavioral audiograms, a serological evaluation to rule out predisposing illness such as autoimmune disease, and extensive radiological testing with high-resolution temporal bone computed tomography or enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.

The progression seems to accelerate too. I remember snorting 4/80 OC's a day 5-6yrs ago and not even getting anything out of it except putting off a week of sickness. I quickly went to H. The dope my way was cheap and good. Big mistake getting on the H. It calls me. I always had been happy with the class III's and some good green before then. Oh well we make our own bed huh?

right on man...i had to ask because i think most of the people here even in this thread take more than one opiate. I was wondering also because 80mg's is such a common designation for OC's. But i here you man. I remember when 80mgs of hydro worked but then it quickly went up to 100 then 110, 120 130 140 then 150 then i said F it ya know. Time for a better medication. My situation might be allittle different though because i am a chronic pain patient so i get my medication from the doctor. I cant walk without it and the pain is so intense that it has really become a neccesity to have a good and fullfilled life. Either way i hope you begin to find the joy that you are looking for.
