odd sorta question

I got to thinkin as of late.....if a person gets pills from others or off the street scene, is there a chance of getting some sort of disease like that? ie, hep. or just whatever? I mean you never know who has been handling these before they actually get to you ! I asked a friend of mine and she said its unlikely, but it makes sense that if someone that has a disease (known or unknown to them) and has handled the meds., that it could be on the pill surface then you ingest it and well ya know from there...

Any thoughts on this or the likely hood of it?

I dont know if you'd be in any more danger than touching a subway door, an airline tray or buttons on a PIN pad at a supermarket. It says on CDC website that Recent studies suggest that Hep C may survive on environmental surfaces at room temperature at least 16 hours, but no longer than 4 days.

thanks for reassurance...id thought of it many times just forgot to ask and heaven forbid at the risk of sounding very stupid...LOL I just noticed a time or two they didnt look solid white...they were the real thing so thats not of what i speak about. just looked like they had passed a couple of hands so it got me thinkin...LOL...now i guess I dont need to go do too much more thinkin ...lol ...no wait, sometimes that can be a good thing.
its just that being that you DO put them into your mouth and ingest, which isnt the same as touching handrails, toilets, ummm whatever else on a daily basis that you could get germs, was what made my mind ponder the idea.

Just to reassure you, I would say that you could not get Hep C or HIV by handling pills. Although Hep C can live outside the host on surfaces for up to 45 days, it would have to be administered into the bloodstream. The same with Hep B. HIV would not survive well outside the body, unless it is in an environment of say a syringe.

You could certainly get something such as Hep A from handling the same pills your dealer did. Hep A is generally transmitted by fecal matter and if your dealer doesn't bother to wash his hands after wiping his/her ass, well you could certainly get whatever they may have.

As for the other matter of where your dealer hides his/her stash, well....We didn't cover that in nursing school!

You put yourself at a higher risk by touching doorknobs or taking public transit.

I think you will be OK. Most of what we put in our mouths is killed off. Unless you have a compromised immune system, I wouldn't worry.

I usually ask my dealer if my dope has been "browned" and if it hasnt been, I ask him to please "brown" it before giving it to me. I find the rush to be all that much more potent.

I also make sure to NEVER wash my hands before I prepare a shot, I find that the bacteria gives me a much more euphoric high - but maybe thats just me.

Thats my odd sorta answer to your odd sorta question.;)

Im totally kidding, but if you serioulsy think about how many things you touch a day that are so full of bacteria, and all sorts of other shit, I think you would be better off not knowing.
