In order to cut-down on the number of solicitations coming in via the private messaging system, we've eliminated the capability of using this system unless registered for at least 30 days and with at least 30 posts. This criteria is lifted for donating users and those users who's reputation exceeds 1000. The number of messages each user may store depends on the following:
Unregistered or w/out email confirmation: 0
Registered Users: 25
Donating Users: 100
Those who wish to use the PM system but do not yet meet the criteria, we recommend setting up a MySpace account and entering your ID number (http://forum.opiophile.org/showthread.php?t=3150) in the appropriate profile field. This will allow you to exchange messages using myspace.com, rather than Opiophile.org.
We're hoping this change will affect only those illegitmately using the board and PM system, however if a member finds themselves unjustly at a loss of this ability, please send on a PM to bi11i and we'll take a look-see (kidding, use our contact form (http://forum.opiophile.org/sendmessage.php)....)
