This is really off the subject so if I should post somewhere else just tell me. I am curious how much w/d I am going to go through getting off hydros. I am taking about 8 10/500 a day. I am worried I am going to be drug tested at work. How much is that? A lot? i have never really used drugs and I'm not sure if this is a lot to get off of. If I take 8 a day, am I taking 80mg? Stupid question, I know. Also, how much have i fucked my liver up?

I was pregnant and just had a baby so I had to quit while I was pregnant. I am taking more now then I ever did before. I said I would never do it again but I guess with the Post part depress of having a new baby and I just couldn't deal with it.

Scarlett, if you did it before you can do it again. Your liver is fine, I promise. You are not taking that much compared to a lot of people. As far as how bad the w/d's are gonna be, only you can tell. I would slowly start taking less and less.

Start cutting back 1 or 2 pills every other week, with hydro it shouldnt be too hard, the hradest part is going to be sticking to the graduall taper, but it can be done.

you said you stopped when you here pregnant, how hard was it? how long have you been using for? yes you are taking 80mg a day, of u are taking 10-10mg..you can set a taper schedule to ween off, which will be easier in the long run wd wise...if you have the willpower to do so. Or just go cold turkey, and go through the wds, I have just done so myself from a habit a tad bit bigger then yours, also the Thomas Recipe is what i follow, and it works wonders for me here is the link to recipe I posted before.

If you are worried about a drug test, didnt you get lortab or percocet after your pregnancy? if so and you have the bottle with a valid rx you can show your employer that so if you test dirty, it is ok...

heh they make us all happy and la la follow the 2 guys ahead of me they know pills well , i also think ur ok with the scripts u hav for now , the gradual taper is tough because ur mind will play tricks on u dont let it , stay busy and occupied this very important, if i nothing to do all day my dose would go up and up . boredom is trouble

If its a high level they might be suspicious but if its not, just tell them something was hurting so you took one... but if you fail, regardless of the levels, you will need to do something, right? just try not to fail but if you do use the script... the worst case is they don't believe you... better than just failing, doing nothing, and giving them no reason to think you're aren't a junky

Generally as long as you have a prescription for the Vicodin, they may not really question your use. Depending on the type of work you do, they may be concerned with you taking them at work or being under the influence of opiates while working.

Myself being a nurse, trying to justify taking Vicodin while working would be difficult. Trying to justify being on Morphine was tough enough....Actually I am just being silly....If I tested positive for any opiates, I would be out of job!

I do know that some who are asked to test and have a prescription for opiates will go ahead and let the lab testing know they are taking medication. Some feel this is better and avoids any suspicion or asking of alot of questions. You might say," I am taking Vicodin for a back injury and have the prescription if you need it."
On the other hand, some play dumb! When tested they just act as if they were unaware that Vicodin would turn up on a drug test.

It is hard to say how severe or mild your withdrawals will be.
A suggestion might be to make an appointment with your OBGYN and discuss your Post-Partum Depression. Post-Partum Depression(PPD) can last for several months and most often new Mom's don't understand why they are feeling so lousy. Research has shown that the symptoms of PPD can last even as long as 2 years. It takes some time for your body to get back to a pre-pregnancy state. You carried around that baby for 9 months and your body went through a lot of changes. While many think that a woman should be feeling better after a few months, it just doesn't always happen that way.

By talking to your doctor(OBGYN) about the PPD, maybe he can prescribe some anti-depressants to help relieve some of the stress your feeling. I think this might make it easier to ween off of the Vicodin. Trying to detox or cut back when your stressed out about other things can be hard and having a new baby can add to that stress. I am certainly not saying that you shouldn't try to cut back if you can, but getting some help for the PPD may make it easier to concentrate on detox. It's up to you to tell your doc about the Vicodin if you feel he needs to know. I don't suggest one way or the other, but I do think talking to the doctor about the PPD is a good idea.

Hey, having a baby can be stressful for any woman and although the joys of being a new Mom are there, your body is changing once again with all those hormones. Throw in an addiction to Vicodin and the stress level goes up.

Does anyone know is this legal ordering on the internet? How can they get away with it and should I be worried the cops are gonna show up at my house one day? I faxed them my DL and my med records and MRI. But I ordered from more than one place. I tell myself I can quit anytime but right now at this point in my life, I need it to get up to feed baby and get my 5 year old to start Kindergarten without me falling apart. Plus, my husband had talked to a girl while I was pregnant and I foulnd out. It wasn't really anything, but it was. My mom is a PO and she would tell me about some people on her case load and how sorry she felt for them being hooked and they called it a happy pill. Or you may want to consider poppy pods to avoid withdrawal, but they are a good deal stronger than hydro and will probably only end up making your addiction worse in the long run. They are damned easy to get though and also pretty damn cheap compared to pills or street drugs.

Cold turkey off of that much hydro shouldn't be THAT bad though, I mean obviously everything is all relative, and it WILL suck, but you gave birth to a child; if you can handle that pain I'm sure a little hydro withdrawal would be nothing. Best to go cold turkey now while your dose is still relatively small. And while its still just hydro.

In regaurds to wd from hydro. I go through it constantly !! I had a tummy tuck last december and havent put them down since !! Sometimes when I run out its not as bad and sometimes it seems horrendous...I too wish I hadnt even started but it had ahold of me before I even knew it..I reallly dont even want to stop BUT its the tolerance thing....takes 10 to make me feel like 2 used to and here where I live they are awfully expensive..although I have acceess to about 100 of them a month , it never seems to be enough...see more in bottle = take more cuz they are there !
I tell myself Im going to taper but every day there is a reason to take them and take more of them....its raining today, take a hydroc. its sunny, take a hydroc..kids being bad...well you get my point.. I sooooooo wish I didnt feel like I need them but as you have said, I feel like they work like anti depressants for me and help me deal with life better.
Most the time, WD for me is enough to keep me from even being able to look on this site...seems to make me even more miserable ..lol...and the restless legs are the worst...if it werent for those I think I could manage through the wds more. Day 2 kicks my ass every time. And I will go to great lengths to get my hands on some at that point...even if I started out positive and in good spirits about it all (you know happy cuz my tolerance will be lower etc) day two ruins it all for me !!
as far as internet pharm. goes...i DO have a few med records as well as hubby does too...i usually do everything legit and through insurance and havent even seen an OP that i felt legit and safe enough to really send $$ to... if you have any of this info (sites, etc) please PM me :)

The worst thing about WD's is that you know if you got some dope(sorry pills) not only would you not feel WD's but would feel happy pleasure again. I mean WD's aren't deadly ( at least not from hydrocodone) As far as On line pharmacies being legal-I doubt it. It all comes down to an interpretation of what a consultation between a doctor and patient means-over the phone ? In person ? On the Internet ? In your dreams ? I doubt that the heat is unaware of these sources. If it's easy for Nigerians to scam over the Internet it's just as easy for the Feds to gather data. Sometimes these guys just wait for years before swooping down. Then there is Congress who is getting ready to "tackle" the Internet prescription drug "problem" they just did a number on the on- line gambling business.
Taper off your pills...get some support...get some suboxone which is an easier WD situation.. you can turn it around...

I am close to dallas so surely there is a doctor there that i can see. i don't want any of this on my insurance, is that stuff cheap? also, where do i get the oppy pods, a website? Are they legal? I am really financially strapped and need soemthing cheaper. I am like doll, (i forgot what it said your login namewas something doll)any reason i can find to take them i do. I feel like i could quit if i wanted to, but i don't want to. Perfectly said HoM, just browse thru the forums that you have Q's about and you will be more than srprised as to the wealth of info there is. Check out the Buprenorphine forum, and the Papaver Somniferum forum re: pods. There is so much shit you could read for weeks and still not get thru it all!
