Hello people. Im a long time addict but new to this forum, and new to forums generally. This is my first post here, so here goes....
Iv aquired some Iboga Root Bark from a site here in the UK (its still legal here), and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Iv already taken a low dose of a gram and the effects were minimal but comfortable and quite nice. I wanna kno what I'll be letting myself in for with a higher dose. I have someone to sit with me during the experience (a nurse) so I feel safe in that respect. The plan is to go somewhere quiet in the country and take six grams. After that, depends on what happens...

Any feedback on Iboga experiences will be much appreciated

Hi, new to the forum. If you haven't done it already, then you want - and you want your nurse - to check this out.

I wouldn't do it except with an experienced practitioner, though. You can find a guide to current options at:

http://www.ibogaine.co.uk/treatment.html

Be careful! It's powerful stuff, and best used under proper medical supervision.

tabernaemontana africana and t. coronaria/divaricata and trachelospermum jasminoides are plants that share similiar chemistry to iboga, all of these species are used medicinally in seperate parts of the world. some of them contain ibogaine in trace and larger amounts......t.coronaria/divaricata is used for topical analgesia and as an internal pain reliever....trachelospermum jasminoides in used in traditional chinese medicine. I have heard some statements about T. africana being the most likely iboga substitute, but have also seen statements that the material is another species re-named for commercial purposes............Tabernaemontana pachysiphon contains opioid agonist compounds in the leaf material, I am currently searching for a supplier of that plant............................I have consumed trachelospermum jasminoides to see if the herb potentiates other opiates, the initial experience was that of sedation. I have tried amounts of some of the other tabernaemontana species and will share those experiences in the future.............voacanga africana is often sold by companies claiming that it is a tribal inebriant. I have eaten up to 8 grams of the seeds and had a horrible experience that I detailed in erowid vaults (pay the price by Jacky) and in the pages of the entheogen review. I have not tried the rootbark extract of voacanga that is supposed to contain different compounds that the seeds. some places sell near pure alkaloid extracts of voacanga rootbark. My simple ethanol extract of the root-bark is producing crystals of clear yellow that I assume are most likely alkaloid in nature.

Hello Dr Benway,
if you`re addicted to opiates and hope to get rid of the addiction with it than I strongly suggest you not to do it with the rootbark. In higher dosages it will be quite harsh on the stomach but still very weak in taking away the withdrawals. If you`re not addicted than give it a try but very carefully; try 3g at first.
Personally I would not try the rootbark but the Ibogaine Hydrochloride. Just an advice...
