kratom resin dose [Archive]

I'm new here, and I have a question about dosing kratom resin.

The vendor claims it is 41% total alkaloid content with 17% being mitragynine and 1-2% being 7-hydroxy-mitragynine. They also claim the potency is 30x leaves.

Prior opioid experience includes a 30 mg hydrocodone experience and a 25 mg oxycodone experience... both were extremely pleasureable.

No opioid tolerance at this time.

This particular kind of extract he's talking about...how does one take it? A friend, with little tolerance, took 1.5 grams at one time after several tries with lesser amounts, and got nothing. Just swallowed the peices with CocaCola.

Should one boil it in water? Smoke it?

I don't quite understand this post, but I think you're looking for a dose recommendation. That stuff hasn't been around an incredibly long time, so I think those questions are still being answered. I can say you'll probably need at least half a gram, from my experience. And by the way, I don't think there's too much of a cross-tolerance with opiates, to me anyway.

Wow, yeah, I never actually asked the question in my first post. You're right though, I was looking for a dose recommendation.

I'll probably dissolve the dose of resin in a cup of tea and see how that works out.

Maybe dissolve in alcohol, mix with a little water (to prevent burning) and use sublingually (let it soak in your mouth so its absorbed into your blood). I've also heard of smoking, but I think that takes much more, and I can't say for sure that it works. I've also heard of insufflation. I'd try sublingual first.

Swim ended up wasting material because he didn't know how to use resin properly.

It must be dissolved completely in some kind of liquid it seems to get decent effects. The digestive system probably can't dissolve big pieces of resin quick enough to get high enough levels of the opioids in the bloodstream.

When he finally got it right by dissolving .75 g in vodka, it felt like 15 mg of hydrocodone... slight euphoria, itching, and constricted pupils.

Overall, I think leaves are probably just more convenient. Even when dissolving the resin sticks to the sides of the container... it's messy.

Thats what I was thinking...I wasted a gram...my whole order. HA, you'd think I'd be embarassed cause of that, but I just...I mean, swim had my last bit of red vein leaf. Wheee. I've also noticed that its hard to boost the dose with kratom...you gotta get it into your system within an hour or so it seems...kinda like mushrooms (which makes sense, considering the indole alkaloids and all).

Kratom is the weirdest fucking plant. swim loves it, swin just wishes it was mellower at the beginning...and lasted a tad longer. But the upside is...swim used two large opiate-effect doses (7.5 grams for me with red vein/Kroth strain) per day for about a month and a half. With a classic opiate, swim woulda been hurtin pretty bad...but the w/d's that swim experienced was mild depression and cold chills every few hours. Swim was expecting horrid flu-like symptoms. Swim was very relieved.
